I think there is still some bonkers in there Dylan. My wing session shows top speed as 50k calculation. Anyway thanks for running it again. Im pushing because of the comp. Its completely bonkers to chase numbers and mythical sheep station winnings but im enjoying a lot and improving

btw, where's all the wingers!? I would have thought wing foiling GPS could be pretty popular and just as enjoyable but nope not here this time.

What is the story with the northern spot they call GWS? That doesn't look easy to get to

Joining them on gps speedreader works, but just for oao files right? That's all i could get it to work with. Which is a mission to get oao file from motion to computer as i usually use phone for that.

Got it out of too hard basket again and sanded for about half an hour. Took it out on a good day and thought i was going to crack 20kts. No it didn't but i did get speed PB and had great fun riding it, 38k's distance and it hardly faltered.
I could feel some vibration, the aluminum mast had a very furry trailing edge so maybe that didn't help.

In theory it is a real bad way to try out a more advanced foil for the first time, because it's going to be in ya head that it's got issues.
However, i like this style, like a mongrel dog, i don't have high hope and it exceeds.

Oh yes that makes sense, if private tracks counted Elon would be riding rockets around and claiming it.
It's a huge day for me to do both, not sure if it will happen often so probably no biggy. Thanks for info.

When I win a sheep station I don't want any declarations of foul play, so I gotta check I'm doing legit here

I just posted to GPSTC a combined foil fin session for a day at the same spot. I always post through ka72 and like to separate sessions there.
I'm running two gps units. Garmin 255 and mini motion. I reset the motion for each session and keep the watch going during both foil and fin session. While shifting up the beach to change to fin i paused it.

In KA72 after posting the two separate sessions and checking out those results (my points toward sheep stations

) I create a private post of the combined one and send that to GPSTC with track for foil and fin.
Am I sneaking those ka72 points doing this or does it not count if it's private?
Is there a better way to do this? I've heard about joining sessions in other programs but had no joy.

New Budgy recruit Brian spilled the beans on one of his secrets - he says he watched this one obsessively as a kid.
Almost four decades later and the need for speed arises again.
I'm stoked to get turned onto this old classic.
I watched lots of surf movies from that era but clearly was missing out not watching windsurfing ones too.
I see why this one rates as a good speed information / instructional movie, because they talk about attitude. At this point in my sailing progress, with pretty fast gear, this movie helps give me an idea on the madness and how to let it go faster

Vid a bit shaky. Either your stabilization aint much good or your hookin

Most my footage is 20ish kts, very smooth. I think you might be going faster than that

It can get scary quick under the sail, even with eyes open it clear water is can be hard to see what's what so feel is better i think. Feel a batten or boom, follow it.

Eyes shut while sailing is a cool sensation.

The area where it has sat since is not technically the area of the camp known as 'the too hard basket', but it's been pretty comfy hiding in that spot since applying a glass layer on the top side, being supported by bog on underside.

I decided the sharp edges of glass were a bit dogy leaving in that location, might spike my wetty or something.. So i took it out and cut and sanded edge a bit. To my surprise i thought i might actually have a chance of this working. But anyway i put it back there for now.

Flying Dutchman super good to put it all together and make vids. Amazing. It's a fun one to watch start to finish.
I like how Albert pulled off that gybe at first mark after butt bouncing the swell, good sailors!

I hope your foot is not broken and you can go again soon.
The fastest sailors seem to not take risks, and are always in total control. But they are the ones doing high speeds and fast turns, clearly on the edge of control.
So i don't know, go total yard sale, just make sure you know you will pull it off before it starts.

Was a deep hole in surfboard, so could have reacted with foam. I'll try to find the eruption vid. Probably as entertaining as what trying this foil is going to be. Really I want to chop it for cheap speed, bad idea I know.

Speaking of rdm tekcam, i just went to spray some silicon love on mine in preparation for super summer starting tomorrow and remembered I've been running one of them with one roller the whole time.
If any rookies go faster than me down there it's because of my one roller handicap.

I have this poor old art pro 1051 with trailing edge damage which a couple of hacks have tried operating on only making it worse.
I feel like trying to build out the void of missing space will never match the other side and i'm thinking it's gotta be symmetrical to work.
So, should i get the grinder out and chop a new radius on both sides to match and make it about a 950?
If so, whats the best chopping tool, grinder cutting wheel then sand round and smooth?
Will i be chopping into core this way and must re-seal with epoxy?
