A ridge extends over the north Queensland waters. Ex-Tropical Cyclone Maila [1004 hPa] in the Solomon Sea is forecast to move southwest into the Coral Sea and weaken, before approaching and potentially crossing the Far North Queensland coast as a low pressure system later Tuesday or Wednesday.
