Weather Situation for Sydney Enclosed Waters
A slow moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the state's east, maintaining fresh northeasterly airstream over Sydney Waters. A trough looks set to brush Sydney Waters on Friday and stalls about the central part of the coast. This will be followed by the second high pressure system passing to the south, maintaining onshore easterly airstream later in the week.

Weather Situation for New South Wales
A slow moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the state's east, maintaining fresh northeasterly airstream over coastal waters. The ridge is forecast to persist over the north coast through the week while a trough brushes the south coast early today then weakens. Then, another trough is expected to cross the southern half of the coast on Friday and stalls about the central part of the coast. This will be followed by the second high pressure system passing to the south, maintaining onshore easterly airstream later in the week.
