Weather Situation for Tasmania
A high pressure ridge extends over Tasmania from a high centred to the south of the Bight, forecast to persist into Wednesday. A cold front approaches during Thursday, forecast to cross Tasmania during early Friday, followed by another ridge to extend over Bass Strait from a high centred well to the west. During Saturday the ridge is forecast to move broadly over the state as the high centre approaches the west coast.
