Im 82 kg have a 4m wasp 6'7 fanatic 1550 Armstrong foil and needed 15 kns to get going.Decided to get 1850 foil instead of a 5m ding.Can get up in 12-15 but My mate with a 5m ding can still get up earlier than me.

Its like wing ding history! Lots of talk about struggling to get going on the 4m naish wingsurfer!

I have to say I was skeptical of the wing ding at first but now I am fully hooked! The ability to depower the wing and surf is a whole different thing. I am now fully convinced this is the best wind powered craft for riding waves with a foil, good times

I have not demoed any others as difficult to do but as I could not fault the Australian product with local support that helped make the decision.

There are several reasons I chose the Flightboard;
Design including motor incorporated in the sleek fuselage and lower on the mast, hand control functions , local support plus Australian company in NSW Byron Bay.
Research and discussion with owners indicating almost but really zero issues.
Local school conducting many lessons without reliability issues.

Separate thread would be good so we can stay more on topic.

I recently efoiled on the lift system. Long story short, don't know anyone with a boat and was having a hard time learning prone foiling at my local beach break, due to fast breaking waves. So started wing foiling but sometimes the wind isn't always strong. The efoil seemed like a good means to learn foil elements in between prone and wing sessions. It was time well spent, within 1/2 hour I was flying and spending the remaining time focusing on working on turns while up on foil. This skill directly translates to other disciplines. It is also definitely the fastest way to get comfortable being on foil. I highly recommend it for beginners. Despite wing foiling the past six months, and sporadic prone foiling, I still have a hard time feeling comfortable 3 ft off the water. Efoiling helps with this aspect. One would also be surprised by the leg workout used to keep the foil down and used for turning. This sport definitely deserves its place among foil disciplines. Great times ahead.

I totally agree Pasquales. I've hired a Flite e-foil three times and was up on foil and carving turns in around 30 minutes. It gave me the confidence that I could actually do this(!) and I bought a wing foil as a result.

They're fun,give you a lot of confidence,you learn quickly to pressurize your front foot.

Ive only been in tiny waves but they are hell fun.

Yeh I struggled for the first 3-4 starts then sorted it. The boy just got up straight away and went. The little prick is pretty much outdoing his old man in just about everything now. Except winging. But his first real go today in decent wind and he was pulling into some serious swell lines at horrocks. So I will give him a week to leave me behind.
that was a guy called Paul (can't remember his second name) but he has the skydio drone thing as well and was kind enough to give us a crack after talking to him here on the breeze. So among all the abusewe give each other is the community and the great people we get to meet.

Geez I bet he was amped after that Eppo. It's so great to see kids getting amongst it he sure is lucky to get exposed to such great fun

I was on a JP 6ft 8" 96 litre foilboard with Neil Pryde large wing with rear stabilizer wing with one washer under its rear bolt to assist lift. Foil all the way forward. I weighed 79 kilos max.

In case anyone does dig up this thread again, just wanted to reinforce that if you want MORE lift, the washer should go under the FRONT of the two bolts (not the rear). These pics are from NP. I have the Neil Pryde Glide S, M and XL in Blue and L in the HP version. Have fun on the water!
