Here's how the Fly looks on the beach -- high aspect, taught first 2/3 of canopy and loose last 1/3, large vent between both sides of wing, nice looking handles and separate inflate/deflate valves for LE strut and boom strut. It would have been nice to see how it looks on the water. Will catching the wing tips be an issue?

FYI there's an aluula framed fly kicking around the race circuit. Looks pretty sweet. Not sure if there are plans for a broad release or if this is just a one off.

What do you wanna know?I rode a production one last week and it was the same as the Proto/pre-production I used in januari.Felt exactly the same but the fixed the flutter, so that was a nice surprise and felt even slightly better.
What wasnt new for me, but confirmed what I noticed earlier is that those pistol style front handles are awesome to switch hands while downwind waveriding.
I really like it, but also find it in Europe quite expensive for wing made without any special materials.

I was able to test the 6er Fly today from 10 to 16kn

at the low end, I first had to adjust the pumping.
I first tried to pump it like my CWC, with both arms, but that did not work. Pulled but then I was suddenly faster than the Wing and drove virtually into him.
If I then pumped him only with the rear hand, he pulled just as well, only he was not in my way and it went off.

Since the wind has constantly turned I could not test how well he pulls height, but it felt good. Also at speed, it pulled well despite the extremely thick struts.

The jibes have worked directly better, think it is because of the handles that I can guide him better.

When driving I have not noticed the larger span and when pumping only at the beginning with the wrong technique.

That he is heavier, I have only noticed when I drove after 1.5h again 1h my CWC for comparison, which then suddenly felt featherlight.

According to NeilPryde, the largest for me should be a 5.3.
I think at 8kn it would not be enough, but the 6 probably would not have been enough, at least not yet. So hard to say if I can really ride it smaller than other wings, especially since everyone else was out with 6 unit DLab, and a 7 CWC. We were actually all flying at the same time. It was only minimal when I got going early.
But this also happens with 6 CWC. It's hard to tell after the one test. Especially since in a direct comparison with my 6 CWC I got going earlier than the 7 CWC when we were driving in parallel, whereby the 7 was even higher.

In any case, it was clear that the Wing is much stiffer / tighter than my CWC.

The windows were unsuitable for me, because the mega thick strut was actually constantly in the way. So either had to take the Wing always down a bit, but then I can also just take it up and look underneath and then see more.

The 4.7er targeted by me anyway should also have smaller struts and weigh less and so that should be good fun for me.
And maybe you can see something through the windows.
