I'm also looking for something to replace my Forward WIP impact vest which weighs 3kg+ and is mostly hard buckles and hard protection around the lower ribs (must be ideal for wearing harness).

I just want an impact vest with a webbing belt I can put my hook on. Just can't find one.

I replaced mine with their Kompact vest. Much better fitting and side impact protection. I can still use it wth my windsurfing harness

- ION Booster X Vest

Has anyone considered or tried them?

Similar set of interests for me...but those two you mention look too much like my current whitewater vest, which is a bit bulky and stiff and the straps and buckles and sliders are not so comfortable and can be restrictive.

I'd get the O'Neill Slasher, or the Ion Collision Vest Core, but they have no pockets...the search continues...
