Has anyone used the foil drive on a supfoil board and how did it work?

Yes I have.
Smik Mongrel 145 litre with an Axis 60cm mast and 1060BSC.
The mongrel has a central float point a lot further forwards than the central lift point of the foil, so I've found I need to start off forwards, paddle and get some speed up then shuffle back to get over the foil and make it lift. The drive helps with doing all that a little smoother.
On flat water, I can give the foil drive full noise, paddle furiously and it will fly me enough until the drive lifts too high and ventilates. I'm 70kg. I reckon if you're any more than 70kg you would need good technique to make it go without wave assistance. I am yet to try it on a wingding board to sup it. I suspect that MAY work better as the float point sits over the foil so less shuffling around required and a smaller footprint so there's less board to unstick??
So if you go to buy one, you want to get your measurements pretty good so the cord is long enough to allow the control box and battery to sit where you want on the board and then the drive motor is positioned low enough on the mast. Mine is about 5-10cm too short, so the motor only sits 20cm down from the base of the board. Once I get better at the sup foiling, I think it will work OK for me. But I would have liked it 30cm down from the base of the board.
I have also busted the original prop blades that came with the foil drive. They just didn't seem strong enough. To their credit, the guys replaced them free of charge and I've ordered some stronger blades that are slightly less efficient (down 5%).
After sales assistance is very good. They are a really keen Ozzie crew who are interested in keeping customers happy and content. They have a good product for what I want to use it for.
The vids make it look easy. I am yet to get the full benefit out of it, but I can see it's potential. It definitely makes catching really iffy waves possible. But I've only used it once in the waves and need to get it dialed in. It works but I'm a bit of an unco.
The battery seems to last for ages (hours) when you run the motor at a slow speed (4km/h at about 30%). Give it the herbs and it will be dead in 15 mins on 100%. But you only need to run it for 10 seconds to catch a wave. Once up on the foil, you turn the motor off and let the foil do the work.

Foil Drive is just to good and super easy to use and catch swell (unbroken waves) on my 95L wing sup as I do, just look on Utube for full instructional videos (there are plenty:-)
