Looks like the biggest change is BNG (bold new graphics)

Seems like biggest change is in the trailing edge, looks like slightly different pannel layout and outline of the trailing edge, that will probably slightly help reduce flutter although I've never had problems with that.

Also new sizes, dont see why thats a + though, I liked the old sizes.

Will probably see one fairly soon after they start shipping them out, will write a small review once I've had the opportunity to try.

I guess the larger diameter strut should add some stiffness too with no significant disadvantage. Surprised they're not incorporating some new high tech materials.

Looks like some shops are allowing for pre-orders of the 5 and 5.5m2 but no sign of the smaller sizes.

Why add aluula and cost the double if already the lightest on the market? And in their vision stiffness is not a plus.smaller sizes from March

Wingspan is more compact than V1 and PSI is a little lower ranging from 10 on the 2.5 and 8 on the 5.5

A I understand it both leading edge and center strut is constructed differently to achieve what they call "controlled deformation",
With that and the thicker strut it seems that it would be more responsive when pumping. I wouldn't mind an option for Allula strut,
I would pay the extra cost.

Handles could use refinement, they could have taken a page from Ocean Rodeo's handles. I like all the extra reinforcements.
I like the new sizes as well. Could you use the 3M right about now. I'd prefer they stuck with the V1 colors, not crazy about the new pallet.

The Strike is an amazing wing but it has issues at high speed, hopefully this fixes the issue.

And they keep using colours that are impossible to match for patch repairs and not including any spare cloth and still pay a premium....

Got a pic of the strike V2 in on the beach today, biggest change in outline is in surface area in the tips, its a way more "boxy" outline than the v2. No water experiences to share though.

i was about to buy some new wings in the shape of Takoon v2s to chop in my 2020 units but these new v2 Strikes look pretty bloody good to me...

Asylum you mentioned their handling at speed but im sure i witnesses f-one dominating the GWA racing... although that might be more to do with riders than wing eh!

And interesting their take on "stiffer isnt necessarily better" (product philosophy vs reactive marketing to where other brands are heading)

A more compact shape/reduced span would be welcome

Check Hadou Brunner review of the strike on Youtube. He mentions the issues of the strike wings having no power at high speed. It's very frustrating.

Skills always dominates gear....

Mac kiteboarding review doesn't mention that at all, just raves about it. My friend, rides all sorts as he repairs kites/wings but chooses F one which says a lot for its performance and robustness. I ride ensis and have needed repairs and am looking to sway to new Swings. Mike

After a couple of sessions on the new Strike v2, it's fair to say it's performance is incredible. They have made refinements of the Strike v1 which has resulted in an ultra stable wing with predictable power delivery!

Yeah I've had 4 sessions on my V2 strike 5m so far. I came from Ensis wings, I find it really light, reactive, controllable, no backwinding. Its a different power to the ensis, not as grunty but after a few pumps generates power fast, it has a nice forward, front pull rather than the more sideways pull of the Ensis.

I just had a chance to try my "rigid handle" mod to my Strike 6m last weekend and it was great. I took a queue from the handles on my friend's Cabrinha Mantis and decided to try something on the front alone. I ended up taking a piece of pvc pipe, cutting it laterally down the middle and fitting it around my front handle. I then took bat/hockey tape and wrapped it. I took it out last Sunday in 15-25 knots (pretty overpowered on a 6m as I'm 70kg) and it worked great. I had my longest session (over 3.5 hours straight) to date and the control over the wing as I twist it through jibes is great. Here's an "in progress" shot before I wrapped it.

Cool what are the dimensions of the pipe and I'll try that too.

In a perfect world I'd have a nice shop and would've cut this with a tablesaw using some sort of jig to keep the pipe stable. We all know that the perfect world doesn't exist so I clamped it and cut it with a hacksaw. The cut was far from perfect but I figured it would be covered anyways. I have a small cordless 5" circular saw which I'll try next time.

Once cut, I used a wider chisel to prop the pipe open as worked the handle into the pipe. Then it was just a matter of wrapping the pipe. This is definitely a v1 and I have a few ideas on how to potentially make it better (easier on/off, etc).

Great, keep sharing. I've ordered some pipe and will convert mine to see how it feels.

I might end up doing this with mine as well. Thanks for sharing. Have you considered adding 2 short "stubs" towards the strut?
Could that possibly improve the lateral stability or would it just be awkward?
Or maybe a longer pipe which is cut open where you want the bend? - ok back to work now for me :)

I would expect this from a 2020 or 2021 wing but we are evolving so fast in winging, F-one is going to be left behind even if the wing flies awesome.

For example: Duotone is going to extend their market lead with their upcoming Aluula wing combined with the Mantis-type handles, the two most requested features of the next generation of wings.

Longboard, after I felt the Mantis handles, I knew I had to try something. Another quick session today in dying 15kt wind and I do think this handle makes the wing more controllable. I can't really tell if the pipe rotates much. I do know that i can slide it fore and aft if need be. Only downside right now is probably a tiny bit more weight and I need to be somewhat aware of where the handle is when I put the wing away.

Yeah hard handles the future...

each time I try ridig handles, like cabrinha...I hate it. So I'm not a fan of harder, larger diameter handles. So I seem to be alone in my corner! ;-))
