Please asking for any advise regarding the Cabrinha X 2 Wing as I am thinking of buying it as it is pretty cheap now (just under $1000 for the 4M), is it any good for a general all round beginner (small, light, easy to use & get going etc?:-)

Hey John . I owned one for 12months and was impressed with it . Bullet proof construction ,great handles and it loved going upwind, fast. The sweet spot was smallish ,so you might have to have a number of sessions to get the most out of it . John depending on your size wind strength , foil size ect, mosty I would suggest a 5m if your restricted to a one wing quiver mate . Initially power is your best friend, its the key to progressing quicker . Good luck

Great Thanks Mr Foz I am actually thinking about buying the 4m this afternoon, I am a small learner (65kg) sup foiler but I want to try Winging (so far tried a few times on the original Cabrinha X but could not get on foil) so I gthink the 4m x2 should be perfect for me:-)

I love my 4m X2! Best sessions yet. Good construction and everyone on the beach wants mini handle booms now.

Hey mate, I've got the 3,4,5 and 6. They are very good direct feeling wings with good upwind ability and speed. Quite a bit of power for size. If you can snaffle bargains they are worth it.

The only downside I can give...well maybe 2...are that on my 6, which admittedly got a lot more use than it should have the rear handle started to come apart. The stiffener inside started to work itself out through the nylon. It's never going to break,but it's a bit ugly. Very small signs of same on my 4.

Second downside...when held by the depower handle it has a certain amount of downforce. It's actually not a bad feeling when you are riding a wave depowered, but it takes some getting used to in tacks as it pushes you down if you aren't ready.

I was just putting 2 or 3 extra strokes in, but then I bought a gauge (15psi) on eBay that luckily screwed right in to where the other sat. (Also a Duotone pump)

The Cabrinha pump goes to13psi by the way I've had x2 7,5,4 and 3 there pretty good wings I found the 4 had the handles in exactly the right positions

I still have a 4m X2 which my wife refuses to give up.. It was pretty much the only wing I used last summer.. .. did me from 14 knots to 25 knots and carried me through lighter lulls.. I'm 68Kg.. I've switched to Mantis wings but my (sub 60kg) wife still prefers and exclusively uses the 4m X2.. A great wing with good range, great handles which has held up perfectly to a lot of use.. ..
