I prefer using it to spread propaganda.

"Hear ye, hear ye, everyone will be heading to Bunbury this weekend for the huge wind and waves that are forecast to arrive there. Be there or be square!"

Yes apparently Bunbury has the best surf break south of Perth till you get to Margaret River!!!!

A man is driving happily along when he is pulled over by the police. The copper approaches him and politely asks, ‘Have you been drinking, sir?’ ‘Why?’ snorts the man. ‘Is there a fat chick in my car?’

Nice to meet you Hardie and Decrepit - next time I'm down that way I will definitely bring my gear - but I might need to get myself a weed fin I think.

Also wondered where would be a good spot in a winter NW down there, do you go to the same run ? I havent sailed in the winter for many years but now with a GPS I might start again.

NW we use Unpowered boat ramp, and have to sail off-shore out to Starbord

Bender, I hereby pass the mantle of "Chief Mid-Week Distance Machine" to you.

No way I can keep that title by sailing a desk

Our newest recruit seemed keen to do some big distances as well, so you might want to hook up with him...

These easterlies are just so up and down, Sam Hardy and I had a sail today, wasn't bad in the gusts, but they were a long way apart, not much good for anything really except TOW and a test of your patience.

I launched from Kiters at around 11 managed to sail upwind to the channel markers after 2 runs, would have made it across to point gray if the wind hadn't eased of and I had to get home.

One thing though Point gray looked good with lots of wind but nice and smooth from the sand bank, on the wind direction today would have made it sweet Nth-Sth run.

Could have sailed up past my place if I had the inclination, The chop was knee+ high but lined up like swell lines so you could run along in troughs or on peaks

driving from Pinjarra to MH it seemed windy all of the way and windfinder shows it to be ....... just tempting but not quite there as Decrep describes.
I am hoping for a Saturday early am session since the only other promising time looks like midnight tonight and I need my beauty sleep

Haven't heard of a Canadian Buffet, does it mean everything has to be covered in ice????

I now know that a Canadian buffet is a good thing.... they must be happy friendly people in Canada .
Thanks Hardie and Binny for hosting/ organising etc, had a great evening. To those who missed it: you really should go to the next one if you can make it!
