Excellent work on spotting the grey suit. Not good to see in groveling conditions!

I certainly read the post, no worries there. I've done Toowoon Bay too many times in hope of scoring something decent. So Jimmy, your challenge will remain open for a long time as I prefer to sail cross-on than be continually dissapointed at that lame joint. It's occassionally ok for a jump. Oh but I don't ever venture out the back... That would be too hardcore.

DUDE! so many other spots to sail down here! That would be like me saying the only place to sail in Newy is Nobbys.I agree with you toowoon is so hard to score when its just right. Oddly always seems to be Monday mornings. I have at least half a dozen other spots i have been riding for the last season or two. They are pretty sketchy spots and almost always involve swimming though many rewards to be had. You should come sail with me sometime maybe I can change your mind!...And i usually have a fridge well stocked for post wavesailing beers.

....I am rather protective of the central coast and don't like to see people bagging my home spots I spend almost all my spare time looking for new spots to ride and am always stoked just to ride somewhere new. Just so im clear, I have sailed all over Australia and the world and some of the best waves ive had have been at home. Its not like sailing maui or indo its not mechanical if anything its mysterious the best days you maybe get an hour of perfection followed by 2 hours hating life and a trashed set of gear.I suppose that's why I'm only one of a handful of guys still sailing on the coast people just lose motivation they cant be bothered swimming, they aren't prepared to break there gear and the don't want to spend all day driving on the off chance of finding perfection. Where as windsurfing is my life and i love the search just as much as the reward.

One last thing this is not a pissing contest for me i really don't care if people believe what i say or not this is by all means a very stupid discussion I know what I ride. I know what the coast has to offer. The real point I'm trying to make is a lot of the time things your searching for are right in front of you , you just have to look a little harder to see them.

Where's Kauli when you need him

Shooting Minds Wide Open. There is a segment where he rides the exact same wave just with a lot more speed and style.

Have to agree with Jimmy.

The central coast is usually all about riding and not jumping.

Theres some great spots and unless no one out there has noticed, the wind here is soo un reliable. I lived in some of the windiest spots in europe and no one would usually even consider going out with a 5.8m plus size wave sail but here you have to make the most of it.

Like to see some of you lot at Forries when its not planning conditions with mast high surf.

Also did like the video's well done everyone.

almost all my wave sailing is done in these type of conditions.I usually just jump of the rocks into the channel with my gear and swim to the wind line. There's a few spots where i do this another trick is to swim out from an up wind protected spot and sail downwind to the wave spot. nothing better than a perfect clean face.

I do the same, except when the wind is light I usually jump of the rocks with my board but leave the mast/sail/boom/extension in the car, and I substitute the 8'4" waveboard with a 6'3" surfboard (it doesnt have foot straps or a mast box but works well when there is no wind). Clean smooth faces go off with this style of wave riding.
