CJW said..Lol at the secretive talk, ffs there are like 4 people sailing the wave on probably the best and only time it will work all year....look out crowds are out of control!!?11
Lets get real, if every wave sailor in NSW new where the spot was and was on top of the forecast how many do you realistically reckon would make the drive and turn up? I reckon < 10. I live ~ 1hr away and even I didn't make the drive and I sail at every possible opportunity, I went spinning on the lake instead. This is not a big sport, the more we can do to share the stoke the better imo, secretive **** is the domain of surfers and we all know most of them are straight up clowns right >_> You don't grow the sport by being a secretive pack of elitists.
Now hit me with your best

What's up CJW , didn't you catch any fish? How come you haven't revealed the joint yet? Personally I feel not naming breaks unless they are well know is the right thing to do....Kinda like not dropping in.... just part of the etiquette of surfing. Anyways, anyone with shred of logic, given the clues in the photo/video, and the conditions on the day would have a good idea where it is without having to draw a map.
Why do you think there are only 4 people sailing on " the best and only time it will work all year" ?
Look , if everyone wave sailing in NSW knew about the place ( and it seems a lot already do) , and 10 people bothered to drive there ...well.... 3 wave sets....every 5 minutes.... not too much fun.
I don't know about you, but I took up surfing/sailing/sup to catch and ride waves. Sharing the stoke with other like minded people is great as well. I reckon it's a great part of the sport, giving a yew or a hoot, watching people and the lines they take on the wave on the way back out. It's also great when you get out the back and there's another wave waiting to be taken....
As for growing the sport, well that's the job of people in the industry isn't it? Call me selfish, but as someone who likes to catch waves I reckon the numbers in the sport at present are about right.
I've got an idea!! How about you start a Peggies diary, in the interest of sharing the stoke and growing the sport? You could keep us abreast of the conditions, the best wind/swell direction/tides etc so we can all share the stoke with you next time it's firing! In fact you may as well include all of the Northern beaches spots. Yeah! That'd be tops. Yay.
Anyway , next time the blue moon rises and that joint is firing, I hope to be there
