One Aussie dollar buys a lot of pesos and rumour has it that the Aussie dollar will hit 1.70 against the US by the end of the year (no conspiracy theories involved) so a Maui based Aussi title should be a done deal. To enter you need to be an Aussi or Kiwi or at least be able to recite one line from Crocodile Dundee. Now ....about that permit to compete at Hookipa.

then it's settled the 2012 Waves, Freestyle and slalom nationals are to be held on the cocos islands

cocs would be mad. could do it at robe?? pretty reliable wind in summer. will never be large waves tho.

Is it usually up to the most organised state or is there an order? lol

FYI flights to cocos are about $1300 return with a 23kg baggage limit, $1800 for a 69kg.

For comparision, flights to Gerroa from Perth are ~$520 return.

nah look into the flights for next year.

it's not that expensive. i can fly there this week for 1300..

and also who'd want to go to gerroa

just have it in gerroa again.. seems like the best option.

i'd also go if it was cocos. or even lancelin. or SA, or gnaraloo, or any place that actually had quality waves
