Rebel GPS Speed Sailing Comp

Thanks for the offer Dave. Actually the cable is an old school Serial (DB9) thing. The GPS end actually has a 2.5 mm phono that plugs into the cradle which connectes to the GPS via some contacts. . This connects minimal serial (ground, txd,rxd). Have had the cable for a while but never had used it. Got it working now on my laptop with a USB <-> Serial converter. Was having problems and suspected the converter but got it working last night. Problem was actually the 2.5 mm plug not seating properly into the cradle. Determined with a multi-meter at the DB9 end that txd/rxd were shorted.

Anyway all working and can download tracks now anyway.

My speed board is a starboard proto speed I got from Dave. I will take a photo and post Izaak.

Wow that is an old one. I don't have any of those. A bit hard core as well, serial USB converter and multimeters.

Good to hear it's working.
