Looks like there's a few sailors interested in heading up to Marrawah for Easter.

Last year was a washout with rain every day and easterly winds, let's hope we get a good forecast this time.
Forecast needs to be S-SW or NE if it's W or NW it's too on shore and obviously esterlies are no good.

For anyone who's never sailed there it's definitely worth the experiene, its world class when the weather behaves.

For a start Brett, Jordon, Fos and I planning to go...anyone else?

experiene

It's even a good experience.

Last time we organised going to marrawah for a wekk we ended up at Sundowners and Stanely where the only sails we got up north in a week.

This time I've got a SUP to take care of the dull droms

Can someone stop Ant when he gets there? I've heard he sometimes overshoots the mark.

Is it be a suitable place for learners? I have a feeling there won't be any flat water on the Wild West?

Wow wowza!,
can be good for learners if dead flat!!. not really any 'learner' spots around Marrawah but if the wind comes in from the east/north east then Stanley is good.
Just a great spot to go.
Just take the Jp out in the waves and give it a crack, OR get out in the waves and crack the jp!

im keen, especially if the forecast looks anything like this friday!!!!!!

BOL should be cranking with a 7 meter 17 second mummer rolling in and enough wind to blow Guido the patagonian tooth fisherman's milk into your tea.

keen?

Wowza like Damo said there's no flat water on the west coast but it's worth a crack. My son couldn't even water start but still came out. All that happens is you get pushed back onto the beach.
Come and have a look then if it's not for you go back to Stanley for some flat stuff

Ha I'll be cracking the JP I reckon Damo. Might have to increase the size of the airbag at the front - perhaps I should rig a sail on an IRB?
Trons keen so we may be in!

SW, SSW, WSW are all good directions for Marawah. and W can be great fun at Greens. NWand N are crap. NE, ENE can be ok but gusty and very swell dependant.
Jez with SW, WSW there are no better options than heading to Marawah. This post is for Marawah...... there is no other option

there will be an awesome long period wave coming thru thursday... if there is enough wind firday NE the bluff reef might beckon!

i am also riding the forecast and planning to head for sum mon sailing... not sure swell will be big enough for BOL,
but if it goes around ssw, there will be heaps of swell for bluff or netleys

also looks pretty good for a sw and a smaller sized wave for those not looking to break their neck

its all shaping up for a classic easter, after a few doldrums events

get pumped
