Finally home Was an awesome event again this year with wind every day. Not as strong or consistent as last year but still fantastic conditions for racing. Super stoked with my second place in Freerace. Byron Mcilveen from NSW totally dominated every race. Looking forward to catching up with him at next years event.

Got home late last night and am still nursing aches and pains after a gruelling week of sailing! This is a must do event if you're wanting to challenge yourself. First day was a low-key, but exciting adventure over to Arlington to sail 5km long runs in dead-flat water in the middle of the Great Barrier Reef. The next 4 days saw a combination of Freerace (1hr) and Slalom (up to seven races each day). Doing either Freerace or slalom would be tough, but if you want to really push yourself, as a lot of sailors did, then this combo provides an almost non-stop racing each day.

The organisation of the event was second to none, with the right choices being made in terms of when to sail, what event to hold and where to hold it. A big thanks go to all the volunteers that made it happen and the competitors who made it such a great event. I'll be booking to go again as soon as the dates are set for next year.

Hopefully we can get an even bigger contingent from TAS next year, as it's a heap of fun, especially at this time of year.

Dito Dito Dave. Funny how we've got more sun down here today than we had up in Cairns Good gear drying weather.
