...Any such thing as a shell with a spike?

Err, google "cone shell".
The rocky bits should be safe, apart from the stonefish.

Hey good luck all of you! Warm water, nice weather, tropical island, we are all slightly envious.

Good luck team Tassie. Third time lucky for sure Kazza! Hope you have a super fast recovery Kaleb and get some TOW at beautiful GI. very envious also as I can't make it this year??. Drew the short straw plus it is Dylans turn for a trip north and kids complaining bitterly about being left behind or left with grandparents!. You should all enjoy faster and even more seamless file processing with Dylan up there.

Disappointing you can't make it this year, but you are very thoughtful thinking of your hubby & kids. Looks like I'm the only girl yet again unless a youth called Elli is a girl.

Pity you cant make it Kellie, at least we get to meet Dylan though

I'm not sure if anything else will go wrong. 5.50 Qantas flight is broken, their trying to get everyone on the 8am Jetstar flight. Probably wont make our connecting flight to Cairns. Worst thing is they have unloaded the plane, we have to collect our luggage and rebook it with Jetstar. We all know my 3 gear bags wont go on Jetstar so then I'll have to take it back to Qantas and they will try to get it on a latter flight.
No big deal, just a bloody nuisance.

Better than flying on a broken plane though, at least you know you'll get there alive

Enjoy Kazza! Sooooo wish I was going. Lots of noooo your not going to GI without me but I have had so many more windsurfing holidays/events than the rest of my family. Super frustrating also as we have a 20' 25 knot forecast here tomorrow and I have to make the long drive south to drop Dylan at the airport and then take my daughter to a birthday party and promised my son i would go indoor rockclimbing with him so don't like my chances of getting on the water.

From the Windsurfing QLD Seabreeze...

"There is heaps of photo's up on the Freerace FB site and some GPS replay links also. www.facebook.com/freeraceq "

There's a couple of links to GPS tracking of the Freerace .. ( I haven't seen anything like this since looking at sperm on a microscope slide!)

Well done everyone.
Great effort

I think Kazz was the stand out this year, beating most of the guys.
Sounds like Kalebs injuries had resolved and did not hold him back.
Dave very close behind.

Congratulations Kazz for new womens freerace and slalom Aussie champion.

Also to the new mens Australian freerace, slalom and freestyle champions.
