My severne sails are holding up well so far after two years use ,Gator,Ncx and Turbo. The replacement new sail looks good so far but is early days it was a disappointment having a new ?600.pound + sail with such poor quality control. I've had in the past tushingham,North,Neal Pride,Gastra and Ezy with no such problems apart from wear and tear. I have to say the severne sails preform real well tho and do all I ask of them ,light and powerful with big wind range.

was hoping one day to try n perhaps buy a Severne NCX
please don't discourage me

my bigger disappointment is when sail brands change mast curves
they stay hard top for years (GA, Severne and MS)
and then FINALLY decide to switch closer to CC
after some of us have a FULL quiver of hard tops

The NCX is an amazing super stable sail.

I agree with mr Cranky the NCX is excellent sail good wind range and light in hand. Have used my 2016 sails with a %100 north mast and a %100 tushingham mast and now am using with a %90 severne mast they all set well and didn't find much difference in top end control with the different masts. What I like about the severne sails is so quick and easy to rig and get on the water riping.

I wouldn't label it super stable, but it is indeed sooo easy to rig (I use a P7 or powerex mast, bith work fine) and quite fast for a no cam sail (clocked 31 in 18 knots).
Not to mention the blue one looks awesome !!!!

All in all a very good sail for cruising at good speed and challenging your mates on cammed sails

WOW - Severne was hard top and you have rigged a Severne NCX with North constant curve and Tushingham soft top and now a Severne mast and there was NO difference between masts ?? hard to believe ...

Yeah it's was only at the top end wind range we noticed the difference with the North mast compared to severne mast.I know for a fact that one of the uk importers team rider's were using tush masts for quite at time with very little drop in performance against using severne so I was told .I gess if you put a branch of an oak tree you could sail with it but it's just about getting the best out of your kit and mabe it's also about the super selling you a very expensive mast too !
