Finally got to try these on the course. Not only are they super easy to mount on the boom (no more fiddling with velcro), they tighten under load so you never have to readjust the attachments once mounted on the boom. They're super easy to adjust on the fly, and strike the perfect balance between stability and movement for easy hooking in/out. Great and innovative product, highly recommend.

Nico's here, head of LISA Windsurfing. Great to see some feedback about my products on the other side of planet . So time to register on Seabreeze ahah.

About the different versions of the lines, here are some details:

#Hardnessline WING : dedicated model for wingfoiling, directly derivated from windsurf lines but lighter and shorter. 100grams/unit
#Hardnesslines MONO : the original model, monoline. Very simple and effective, it is less tolerant to approxiative settings
#Hardnesslines 2.0 slalom: 2024 evolution of the LISA lines. 4.2mm Dyneema rope, 370grams/pair with stainless steel cleat, 280grams/pair with nylon cleat
#Hardnesslines 2.0 IQ: based on the slalom version but with 6mm Dyneema rope for an easier grab (as during up and down races you can trim a lot your lines, while in slalom racing you trim it before the start and then you are full speed with no possible trim) and a modified design around the boom to get slimmer parts and allow the riders to fully release the outhaul in downwind reach, even to have the sail smashing into the boom

LISA products are indeed available in many European surfshops (if you know AU shops interested let me know ahah) or directly on the LISA webstore.

Also I will be at the Defi Wind of course, so if people are thinking about ordering LISA products maybe there will be somes people going back to Australia or the US after the event who could bring back these in their bag. Good way to avoid shipping costs and customs fees

I see Nico chimed in in the meantime, but just to be clear that the ones I got and are shown in the pics above are the 2.0 slalom version. That said, they work perfectly well too for course racing ;)

Other major benefit of these is that you can easily swap out the rope if you want/need to without any difficulty.

The french surfshops have stollen all my stock recently with the Defi approching

I should have grips again in a month or so, all sizes 120/160/200. The surfshop "Locsurf" on the D?fi place has around 30 grips in stock if needed.

About the LISA harnesslines, my goal was indeed to propose something durable, on which you can replace the parts. So if you rope is dead, easy to change, same for the other parts. And the main thing was to get rid of all fabric/velcros/stitchings which are in my opinion the weaknesses of "traditionnal" lines in terms of durability, stiffness and durability of the stiffness. And it's fully homemade in my workshop in France, no chinese work here.

oui bien s?r, aucun probl?me pour utiliser les bouts LISA sur des wish qui ont une section ovale (comme les wish LISA) ou tout autre forme (al360 etc).

of course you can use the LISA lines on oval shapes or any other boom shape ;)

MONO lines were my very first development, and have always been my favorite. Simple and so efficient.

it's more demanding on terms of lines precision in positioning on the boom, but from my point of view it also leads you to improve your settings to be perfectly balanced, and thus takes you to a better level of performance.

What are the pros and cons of nylon cleats v metal?

Stainless steel must be close to H-bomb proof . Very durable but a little bit heavy.

The plastic performs really great while being 7 times lighter than the SS, and if the plastic cleat were to break first, it is easy to change (2 screws).

Maybe me, but I don't see groundbreaking things from Lisa's. Harness lines with somewhat protruding pieces (cleats) and asymmetry may not be something I would use in waves/freestyle. Boom grip... go to amazon and look for fishing pole shrink wrap and get similar for 6 times cheaper. Twist lock pulley looks interesting but I'm the wrong person to judge as I don't race.

You not seing your interest in LISA products is somehow normal considering that I mostly develop for racing and not for wave or freestyle.

About my lines, these are racing adjustable lines. So there is a cleat indeed... which bring asymetry... But luckyly asymetry is perfect for windsurfing as a sail is asymetric . Innovation here is the range of adjustment and the concept of getting rid of all fabric/stichches to improve stiffness/weight/durability. For racing.

About the boom grip... I oftenly read this comparison with the fishing pole grip, but why comparing whrn they are not the same... Good if you are happy with the fishing stuff. But the LISA gives more grip, more comfort and does not slip on the boom. And talking about price, what can I tell you, I've tried to propose something easy/performing/cheap... More quality, a nice print on it, 2.4 to 4 meters of material per kit, the glue and a little coin for me to be able to live of my work. And I believe that it's cheaper than many foam EVA grips while being so much better... I've quickly checked the fishing stuff prices on AMZ, for 40mm skrink grip prices are 15? for 1m. So you need 4 of these to compare to a 200 LISA grip kit, means 60? of AMZ fishing grip. This is far from 6 times cheaper...

In the end I don't develop for wave and freestyle because most of the time riders don't care about innovation or are happy for low quality... Plastic fins, aluminium booms etc... Not a critic, but this kind of feedback is what stops me, when there are good things to propose.

Hi Nico. I think that forums are great because people can discuss things and state their opinions. Reading these opinions no matter how opinionated and rough they are what makes forum format so valuable for product reviews and hopefully for developers. If wave and freestyle guys, as you said, least interested in your products then make them more interested.

I just stated my opinion. I never cursed or bashed your products. I super rarely catapult but I said that given some hard edges are protruding from harness lines it makes it less safe in waves/freestyle when people are flying out and can bang on the gear with their faces. Sorry for 6 times cheaper fishing pole wrap.. It's 2-3 times cheaper. (revised).

So, will be waiting for more cool stuff from Lisa specifically for Wave/Freestyle folk and some of them (me included) use top of the line lightest stuff... because 1) some of us are very lazy to do extra work when conditions go crazy as it's already more work plus 2) heavy cheap Alu and Fiber wood stuff can smash your face pretty nicely when things go south. Also don't overengineer stuff like NoerStick extension.

Just got my first set of Lisa IQ Foil harness lines and immediately went 2 knots quicker downwind than ive ever gone before. That may not seem like much but when you are racing that can be a big difference.

Tempted until you started knocking Chinese product, why do people do this? They can make stuff just as well and sometimes better than anyone else. You get what you pay for, it's not the Chinese factory's that's the problem it's manufactures not wanting to pay for quality.
