Thanks Tardy, I'm trying to get rid of a mast, boom & extension that I only use with my 8.5M sail.

I might try and demo a sail and rig it on the 460 to see how it goes, personally I think the RDMs don't have the same stability in the gusts, especially on larger sails.

shop around for a secondhand 490 ,it would be worth your while ,if your going to spend the Money on a new sail.
as said the 460 will work ,but you loos the extra punch in the sail ,the stability was good when I used the 460 but lost a bit of the power needed for light wind sailing .I can rig mine on the 460 RDM and post a picture if you want .
