Deep Tuttle, not power box- even better

Hey Daz, unless you're up for a challenge and willing to risk not enjoying your learning, I reckon give the 148 a miss at your stage of learning. Aim for something over 80cm wide if you can and because you want to uphaul comfortably, aim for over 150 litres. The 160 BIC is the one to be on and is quite cheap brand new even, Jeff recommended it for me but I found my Magic Ride on an offer too good to be true so went for that instead.

Seriously Daz, buy that GO off Jeff if you can afford it. Other than it being perfect for progressing on, we all just want to see him let something go. It might even break the ice for Pete to get that Overdrive.

Short session at Thompsons this arvo, started late as I had to wait while the car got fixed and gave it away after I ran aground a couple of times. The wind kicked in after Steve and I de-rigged. Approx 5 knots per sail. As usual.

I should charge to go to sailing spots and de-rig....
but the equation means that I would have to rig elsewhere

It worked for Steve (the other one) and I Wednesday afternoon. We went to the boat ramp about 3:30 to try the low tide spot Peter H let on a few posts back. The wind came up for some good runs to red rock and back. Just us and a jet ski. Two x de-rigs = extra ten knots. Sounds about right. Thanks guys.

I reckon the wind gets a bullet between red rock and the point, always seems to be more wind in that gap. Best in the south east, can get a bit of a shadow in behind the trees near the ramp when its more in the south.

Can't speak for Peter, but Steve and I parked to the left of the boat ramp (in front of coast guard) and rigged up on the nature strip opposite the ramp. Launched off the end concrete pier - step on the board and go.

Good sail today despite there not being much water: only a high tide of 1.59m, just about a record low high tide level. A word of caution, watch out for the tree that is in the middle of the creek mouth, towards the northern end. Hit it at speed but thankfully no damage, just a spectacular stack!!! Hopefully some more wind tomorrow.

Lucky you didn't break anything too.
Great day a Thompsons today, used 5.6 and was about right for the day, stronger than yesterday at Sandstone but the low high tide is a pity. About half a dozen or more out and lookin good!

Wind blew for while, got upto around 17 knots according to Willy Weather - good enough for some much needed time on the water. Was about 5 boards out.

Back on the water wo hoo!!!
Plenty of wind and a good turnout of sailors. Even had a learner on a windsup getting into it. Short session for me, hope to do better tomorrow

Great day again, 15-20 kts, good turnout of the locals with two brave sailors on windsups!!
not as lumpy as yesterday. I sailed an old 5.2 sailworks wave sail on my sp naish. Good fun!!!

Great photos Pete, it must have been pretty blowy for you to be dragging out the 5.2. Plenty of kites too, it'd be like the Battle of Britain going on overhead
