I can bring an extra also. Let's hope the weather turns out like today, nothing predicted but plenty of wind about.

Great to hear the lads from the Gold Coast are up for the challenge, anyone from up the coast going to venture down?

would a wake vest do for a pfd?

will a pfd fit over a waist harness?

I use an impact vest and it works around my waist harness without any problems. The idea of the vest is to support you in the water until the rescue boat gets to you, it's not supposed to be like the scenario where your boat sinks and you are at sea for ages.

Does this mean you are you coming up today?

Hot, sunny, massive tide. Wind building, looking good for the Waterloo cup.

What an awesome day, thanks Bayside and Ray and Gail for the sponsorship and for coming up with another unique format. There is just no handicap that can cope with the Bradster though. Congratulations Brad, Vando and Pieere for 1, 2 and 3 respectively. Can't wait for the next race on Sunday.

Also thanks to Leo for supplying the boat again, it's great that you do that every week.

I went for a sail after the racing and catapulted when I hit a big Ray but luckily no one saw and my fin seems OK

Thanks to all the crew for organising and of course Ray and Gail for sponsoring. Looks like I was not the only one who's fin copped a hiding.

Some amazing light wind sailing from the usual suspects in the middle of that lull. Just goes to show that technique is still the core skill!

Fantastic upwind work as well, the first 4 only just missed the mark on the way home, I would have been a good 500m off it!
