Nice day at Sandstone today, John hit it really early for the flat water with his 30cm delta fin and racked up 50km before I even got there at 1100. Then it went a little weird, we went from powered up 6.5m conditions to big holes in the wind 7.5m conditions before both myself and John called it a day at 2pm. Jeff showed up for afternoon shift and rigged a 8.5m sail and Adam knocked off work and rigged 7.8. Then it blew back in hard for the rest of the afternoon which woulda been a bit hectic for those two.

There's been plenty of smoke about but it could also just be salt spray, it was pretty much a 20kn afternoon that day.

How come you're here at christmas .................. don't you usually migrate south for the summer?

Thursday/Friday/Saturday are looking like they might be good Sandstone days, big high tides late morning and big lows late arvo with 15-20 ESE. I might have to eat some extra christmas cake

Wished I had when we had the high 30's week. Was a balmy 18 degrees down on the farm.

Suggest if you want to take advantage of that wind, someone should sneak over to Adam's and steal the tyres off his ute.
I think the Beachmere Boy should have the skills required for that job.
At least you will get some action until he finds another way to get there and ruin the fun.

Have a great Christmas, crew. Hope you have all been good and Santa brings you fun toys.

Normally I'd be indoors with a four shot flat white and the fire burning in this weather but considering there's not been a great deal of sailing going down lately I might brave the showers and sail sandstone on the falling tide, is anyone else going?

Oxley Place mate. Big day today at Sandstone, heaps of wind and really rough on the high tide and heaps of wind and flatter water as the tide went out and fins started to hit the bottom. Decent group of us local windsurfers and kiters showed up from all over the place but they were all good lads.

After what seems like an eternity, the weather looks like it might be good for Sandstone over the next few days

Man alive it blew a bit through the night here, hopefully it'll be more of the same today. I'm heading over there when it swings a little more east. Great fun yesterday till the water disappeared.

Another fun sailing day at Sandstone today and the windsurfers at least filled up the front row of the carpark instead of the fishing club. Bit slow at first with everyone on 7.5 to 8.5 and even doing a bit of slogging but we all ended up on 6.5 or less when the wind blew and the tide dropped out. It was great to have a couple of nice SE days after the dodgy summer we've had so far.

Yep, should be a good day if the wind is as forecast. Adam just rang up and he's booked himself in for a big day. Only a 2m tide at 1240 so we should get a few really good hours in. See you all there.
