a 25+ knot waterbogan-free weekday is what u want. all the cruisers made it messy, and it's not usually like that

there must be an insane amount of fuel used by those things. 35 foot plus cruisers with 2 people on board trying to go as fast as they possibly can, through a busy part of the water being used by everyone.

there really are a lot of wealthy morons on the goldcoast who obviously inherited their money because i'd doubt anyone gets wealthy behaving as many of them do

The wind picked up at the same time as going-home time for the Very GC crew, lounging on the lounge of their lounge yachts listening to lounge music as they put on sunscreen with 5% Italian mud to protect their Dr Shufhausen faces from the glow of their colleagues' self importance, their inner dialogues reassuring them that even thought they go to the same hairdresser they have a slightly better haircut. Agree, all the cruiser wakes make it messsssy. Wasn't nearly so bad earlier on when they were all parked somewhere, sipping French champagne and/or snorting coke.

I think the trick is to find a nice ramp and aim for the one behind it, that's the one that will jack up just at the right time. At Shearwater anyway.

Weekdays are... unbelievable. When I was funemployed I counted 3 boats in 3 hours. Cross my heart. The Broadwater is sooo very quiet and beautiful during the week.

One of those boats was so massive and making no effort to get on the plane it displaces enough water for a boom high wake.

I swear I got a bottom turn/top turn combo off the wake it was that big. Or maybe I just inhaled a bit of the coke flying off the breasts of one of the gin palace floozies and imagined it.

Thought about the drive to Shearwater and decided to try out front at Casuarina instead.
The wind/shorebreak ratio was in favour of me getting a bit of a kickin', but twas fun, and I'll do it again.
Just a smidgin more wind and it would have been good !!

hey ken i stay down at peppers at least once a year. the beach in fromt of there looks the goods. next time i'm down there i'll give you a bell. i thnk the next time is in june/july.

yes it was sweet, again though i missed the best of it in the late arvo.

the old VP wind dies then half hour later kicks back in and blows the rest of the arvo thing.

also wanted to mention. that's 3 days now in 15-20 knots on a 5.8m sail. life is good! never again will i sail big kit! well, maybe.!

For some reason not as many boats where I was: James Cook Esplanade, Paradise Point.

Really nice runs. Gybing area out front of allisee apartments is sublime. Bit scary out in middle there as can't see bottom and not sure how deep it is (was really flying). Didn't hit but you can stand. I suspect you can just keep going all the way across. Was way overpowered in that area today, comparatively flat water too. B & J across the channel.

Great on a NE too.

i've sailed formula there panda. it is a great spot

That would be good. I like to think we'll still be getting wind then. I'm a few miles south of Peppers, but it's an easy drive to anywhere here.
I managed to miss all the wind on the weekend really, but I did see Joe Bonamassa twice. Have you heard of him ? Amazing guitar player and only getting better.

Yeah, that's what I said after going to Elliott Hds a few weeks ago.
Yet here I am back on a 6.2 grovelling.
