We paid and have picked our band colour. Bet we beat you Daffy.

Probably. I like to sleep in.

But I had already specified the band colour weeks ago.

I did too... 5x ORANGE. (Harder to lose )
Julien emailed back that that was the colour most orderers selected. Not that it really matters...or does it???

Same colour here! For the same reasons.

It just struck me that it may be relevant to point out that the Motion Simple Logger does not have Bluetooth as you may be led to think by the title of this thread..

It has WiFi for connectivity for downloading and settings.

Do you think we will be able to download datafiles off the watch and onto our smartphones inf the field, and then analyse with something like WindSport Tracker and upload to KA72?

The Motion simple logger is not a 'watch'.

But, it is possble that you may be able to connect the Logger to a Phone or a tablet with WiFi and download the files. Julien would need to confirm that.

Here is the proceedure as it applies to the Later model Normal Motion which is WiFi.:
www.motion-gps.com/motion/documentation/wifi-connection.html

if the file format downloaded is UBX, I expect GPS-Logit would be able to anayse the results for you. Not sure if GPS-Logit can do OAO files yet, probably not.

But I understand that KA-72 can process OAO files so you can upload to KA-72 and see your results (and post).

Your own device comes with an embedded website which you can access from any device with WiFi. This website shows statistics and lets you configure it. There's pics of it in this thread a few pages back.

GP3S, KA72, GPSResults, GPSSpeedReader, GPSActionReplay support .OAO directly. I feel like I'm missing some names, sorry. Anyone who wants a parser for it can simply email me his current parser for another format and I'll mail an OAO version back.

I've just replied to 30+ emails. If I missed yours, please email back.

hello Julien,
where can I find specification of the small motion? I just checked the website and could only find the full motion.
I live in sweden.
looked at W33 and could not find information there either.
thank you in advance.

Hello, it was purpose-made for Seabreeze because, at some point, single constellation receivers weren't outputting valid logs anymore. It's the same base as regular Motion but a big antenna replaces the LCD, it's overall smaller, battery is smaller, radio is out, one button, one LED for status, WiFi, website, inductive charging, GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO 10Hz.

Shipping restarts this week but I'll replace the nice packaging foam by bubble wrap half way in because university is closed and I won't be able to laser foam for the foreseeable future.

Julien, it's great to see the progress on the simple logger. What are your plans for the larger model with the screen?

it would satisfy my usage. I am using Canmore today, but really don't care about the display anyway. do you plan to have availability for Europe?

Well, they are available no problem there but shipping to Sweden by FedEx is 250 SEK so I'm not sure it makes sense to ship only one. Also, I could only send it around May 1st since there's still a lot of backlog for me to purge.

As usual, I have replied to my weekend emails but if I missed yours please email back.

No wind forecast here... ours are destined for a sup in about 2kts. ...if I can work out how to use it! (That could be my true challenge)

If yours are due tomorrow, you will certainly have them before us. Last I heard from Julien (last weekend), ours are being sent tomorrow.
