Are any teams reordering or do any teams have a spare that they will sell on? For WA teenager.
Cheers Dave

Julien, if a team adds to their order does that put the team's order to the back of the queue?

No.

I have received clear counterfeits from my usual supplier today and I'm livid. I'll find another one now but this is yet again dumb wasted time. Without whining too much, they supplied 2000 parts in 2 years fine and pulled a bait-n-switch now. We'll see if Alibaba trade insurance reacts to clear counterfeits. Shipping was also a ****show this time.

I also have 86 unread emails. I'll get to it when I catch a break. I have not stopped stockpiling devices. I'm sending the first LCD to Aus now.

Keep up the good work Julien, I got my logger last week and love it.

Used mine a few time now, bloody perfect all round!!!!!

I sail without stopping to look at a screen which has been a bad habit of mine!

Thx for the kind words.

I tried to salvage this run but it just won't fit. I received news from the casings manufacturer and the new sexier casings will soon be shipped. So I have decided to hold production for a week and work on bugs and firmware for a change. This way users who had to wait for theirs will at least receive the new sexier version. It mostly improves prod for me but it's also matte instead of brilliant to be less susceptible to scratches and stains, it gets rid of the ugly border at the overlap, it's a bit lighter and the LED should be much more readable.

Thanks Julien, lets hope that's the last of the "hiccups" you've certainly had more than your share of them.

I have another order coming soon. I may be able to add a few to the order if anyone would like me to. PM me.

Hi Julien,
Is it best to keep the battery fully charged while not in use ?
just trying to ensure maximum battery life as it would not be able to be replaced as sealed unit.
thanks Ian

Ideal is 60% but Motion charges and discharges slowly and in safe boundaries already to preserve the battery. It's nothing like laptops, smartphones or drones. You don't need to pay attention to it.

Maybe I missed it...
How do you connect the tracker to your other device WITH display?
I'm considering either a band, or a smartwatch. Both would have bluetooth.

Either one of these versus.com/en/honor-band-5-vs-xiaomi-mi-band-4
Or maybe this one www.wareable.com/smartwatches/xiaomi-mi-watch-release-date-price-features-7747

What are the requirements to be able to display the measurements from the logger, on the watch or band.
I suppose bluetooth for data transfer. But then? You need to be able to install an app? Which one?

I think the bluetooth on the Mini Motion is just for downloading data after a session. It does not output live data during the session like the old BGT31 does.

That's correct, you get acces to your data on the Motion by Wifi after the session, pretty simple and stable setup to download your log's, love it !

Hey Menno,

I gave up on streaming data mostly because I do not have the time nor the will to support multiple apps, OSs and smartphones. Plus the licensing involved.

Users just check their current scores when they make a pause. With any WiFi-capable device.

Have finally found one problem with the logger...
- if you forget to turn it on before you sail, it doesn't work. (Not sure if I can ask Julien to fix that! )

Yes I thought Julien had included that, so what you need, is a "have you looked at the on indicator?" indicator

Hey guys,

I'll reply to everyone tomorrow.

Small device resumes now.

Casings for the LCD version are all wrong and even the inspection is wrong... Notice the hole is on the wrong side. I need to think for two days. Frankly, I'm tired.

First one is out. Quite happy with it. Matte finish hides imperfections better, button press is easier, LED is daylight readable.

Casings manufacturer is redoing the LCD top block.

I'll be making them all day every day. I'll reply to my emails tonight but 90% of the replies are :
- Small has resumed and will ship every Monday and Thursday,
- LCD is at least 10 more days out due to the wrong casings.

Looks great Julien, but I'm wondering about the matte black. That could get extremely hot here if left on a dashboard in the sun?

Well if you were thinking about it you wouldn't. But there's heaps of stuff in this world that goes wrong, just because people weren't thinking about it. I'd have thought by now Sean, you'd have realised you just can't trust humans to do the right/sensible thing all the time.

As I get older, I find more and more instances of this, disturbingly, often in me.

couldn't agree more Decrepit, I have so much fun watching confirmed riders doing silly things ending up in catastrophies....

But still ! If I waited months for my beloved trusted piece of gps equipement to arrive it would have it's own box in the car with AC and soft cushionning !

In other news, I'm up 45 Small devices with a 100% success rate and closing parcels tomorrow. And LCDs have resumed production.

EDIT: I had another message above with a picture of Antoine Albeau with a Motion on his arm I found on Facebook earlier but I deleted it to respect the photographer's, the competition's and Antoine's image rights. Anyway, I'm very happy to have seen it and I hope he'll use one for the record attempt he announced recently.
