That would be good but the weed is a problem for windsurfers I reckon.
I know a spot which gets a wind funnel affect but is way to tidal

Northwest of parham and is mega tidal, going to have a better look and do some accurate wind readings soon. I will fill you in when I find out the full story.

Will be interesting to see how the windsurfers go this year in the new channel, which is supposed to be deep enough for them.

It is not very wide...you would not want to wipe out on a speed run!

The difference is that they are inviting windsurfers along unlike those at the other canal

Basil has his sailboarding equipment with him so it should be interesting to see how well he goes down the strip . The wind was gusty at the start on the old run and had a dead spot 350m in , I am worried that it may be even worse now the run is further up towards the hills.

That looks like the start end where it is noticeably wider.

Don't the kite guys sail 10-15 degrees broader than ideal for windsurfers?

Yeah... I recon I could sail that narrow channel, at about 40 knots, no worries. 45-50 knots..... not so sure........

'Kiters speeds not great (best just over 50); but Anders Bringdal on a windsurfer is flying. He's had a 50+ peak and 48 average.'

Yep, it sounds like it's the windsurfers that are breaking records for now.
