So what are my camping options?
There appear to be two in Beachport: The Beachport Caravan Park and The Southern Ocean Tourist Park. Which one is favoured by windsurfers?
The other choice appears to be the Beachport Conservation Park at 3 Mile Bend, Would this allow sailing from your camp spot?

Any other options?

And what are the attractions for the non sailors?
I am driving across end march and if its on Ill stop but my family wont be on the water with me (might have one out but will see) and if there is something for them to do then my life will be much better. I
ll be driving back alone so stopping isnt an issue but the wind might be long gone.
Trip is planned for 24 march to 30 april or there abouts. It might stretch out to about the 10 may as ill be driving back.
We have a camper trailer.

My wife and a few other sailors wives will be camping at Southern Ocean Caravan park I have booked site D9 see the site plan on their website they will be happy to spend time with yours. The town of Beachort is small but it's got places to shop and eat out at then Gambier, Millicent and Robe are close by also plenty a sites to visit. Your welcome to join in on nightly BBQs etc.

The best camping is out the spit with water on both sides and good in all wind direction, no facilities there but there is a long drop dunny but you can't complain when it's FREE.

At the same time I really only used 5.4m Koncept and Carbon art 40cm speed board. Oh, I think I used the Isonic87 slalom to test a 6.2m Koncept proto a couple of times. Boombuster big and fast, me small and no so fast!

Its a pretty rough camping spot in amongst the tea-tree with a long drop and no water. Only a few sites and may be booked out anyhow at that time. That camp spot is close to Packers Point which is a launch spot of the Lake is high, but it may be too low by Feb to launch there (hopefully )

The following are screen shots from the KA72 Lake George 2018 competition group. The first shot is the home page showing group participants and sessions to date. The second is an example of session detail from the 7/1/18.

If you are planning to visit Lake George this season, get onto KA72, join the competition group and join the fun.

When I look at the page at www.ka72.com/Competitions/Lake-George-2018 I don't see the same as John340, I am not seeing Barbie, Kezza01,yetti or Andy. In the Participants list. I can see Nudist, Sboardcrazy, Chris Dimond, Peter Cisea, Boombnuster, Drifter, George Ringe and Mark Jordan. There is nothing showing in the Sessions area.If I do a normal KA72 search for sessions at Lake George in 2018 I can see sessions by these four missing people. So it appears that once you post a session you become invisible. Is this because I have not yet joined the group?

The screen shots I posted above were sent to me by Dylan. When I open the home page I can't see the current participants or session . I've sent Dylan a note and hopefully he will sort out

Level report just in from John at DEWNR:

"Sorry no photo this week - with a total fire ban day yesterday and our crew taking an RDO, one of the guys was good enough to take a reading for me but that's all: just snuck under sea level, -0.001mAHD"

If that is not affected by wind, it means roughly a 7cm drop in level since the last reading on 4th Jan. If we can read anything in to that, another couple of weeks could see a big improvement.

Seen it for myself dropping quite well now, very very dry here now. Water still crystal clear. Only sailed up the top weeds about 10cm under in 4 foot of water.
Daffy keep a eye out from next Friday .

Yeah the weed is fine and breaks on contact with fins. It's not ribbon weed that sticks to anything less than 40 degrees.
