There could be so many little comps/monthly targets to play out. We just had the 1hr run what about the others & 100km club too. what a great sport this is with so many angles to it.

I didn't think you'd be able to get to Cockies..Looking good!

Packin Point where the 4 of us rigged and launched from and one arvo with Jamie last Feb.

Just got am email from John at DEWNR.

Lake level was at 0.068mAHD today.

Here is a photo from him of the flood level sign at the 5 mile for reference:

Interestingly, I think that you can see in this photo the large weed free area in front of the 5 mile parking area that Jimbob reported, and the water looks quite clear. Jimbob also reports that the weed growth in most of the lake is excellent.

Just a thing but because of the high water last two winters its trashed the rigging area at the 5 mile so you can only rig on the dirt gravel, Bert has mowed a little area at the old picnic area but is a ****ty spot to sail out from, at the gap can only park on the road and nowhere much to rig if more than a few there, packin point has a bit more area but still no grass.
No hope of driving to cockys point with water level.
The spit has plenty of room if every one spreads out a bit but the track while not being too rough (except the rocky hill ) has a lot of overgrown coastal wattle that maybe/will scratch your bus.
so if you have new sails they won't be for long or as l suggested to Glynn maybe bring a tarp to rig on.

What about rigging in the shallow water in your togs. Nice and cool and no snakes!

Joined up. Now I can't wait until the 6/2/17 when I arrive at Lake George. Looking forward to catching up with like minded GPS sailors

The group is simply a way of sailors from GPSTC teams to compare their results on a single forum against other sailors on Lake George on the same day and over the Jan to Mar season.
Dylan has added GPSTC functionality to the Group. What we are proposing is as the follows
- After each session you upload your track data into KA72. You then post as usual via KA72 to GPSTC.
- You can then access the group via the usual tabs in KA72
- The Group summary page will look like the summary page on GPSTC with a line for each session, including the date and number of sailors
- If you click on the details button for each line you then get the 6 GPSTC discipline results for each sailor on that day.
- You can sort by each of the discipline results to see how you compared against other sailors in each discipline
- Sailor names will be colour coded by age group and gender so you can compare your results against your age group and gender
- On the summary page there will a line which if clicked will compare the best result of each sailor in each division against all the other sailors - again the sailor names will be colour coded for age group and gender
- Any registered KA72 member will be able to see the group but only paid up subscribed group members can upload tracks
If you plan to travel to Lake George this summer, get on board and register. The more the merrier

There appear to be two in Beachport: The Beachport Caravan Park and The Southern Ocean Tourist Park. Which one is favoured by windsurfers?
The other choice appears to be the Beachport Conservation Park at 3 Mile Bend, Would this allow sailing from your camp spot?

Any other options?

We all stay at the southern ocean park .
The best camping is out the spit with water on both sides and good in all wind direction, no facilities there but there is a long drop dunny but you can't complain when it's FREE.

And what are the attractions for the non sailors?
I am driving across end march and if its on Ill stop but my family wont be on the water with me (might have one out but will see) and if there is something for them to do then my life will be much better. I
ll be driving back alone so stopping isnt an issue but the wind might be long gone.
Trip is planned for 24 march to 30 april or there abouts. It might stretch out to about the 10 may as ill be driving back.
We have a camper trailer.

The best camping is out the spit with water on both sides and good in all wind direction, no facilities there but there is a long drop dunny but you can't complain when it's FREE.

The Spit also comes with lots of wriggley sticks.....big brown ones
