BUMMER, I wondered why you hadn't posted.

Maybe it was this computer that did it, can't see how, but Dot did mention something like that.

Hey Bender, Use the data recorder (circular buffer) you can save back to the card from internal memory.

Your data shouldn't be lost...

Unfortunately Ben, don't think that will help, Nebs is talking about the latest GT-11 firmware, don't think your Garmin has this feature, but still if any data is in there Elmo's your man.

Big thanks Guys

Still smiling although the happy juice is starting to wear of and the pains now starting to kick in.

Hardies turned it on today it was absolutely awesome, even with the low tide, the huge floating weed clumps it was still a ball tearer run.

Just ask us how flat it was.... go on just ask

Really found the sweet spot on the JP, it was just gliding so smoooothly

I'm really feeling for Ben's Pain, From his 3rd or Forth run he was cracking PB's left right and center and not just by a little bit.
3 Runs with 36.7 peak as well as his best run of 37.3, he was on fire today

If anyone can come up with some hints for him about recovering data from a Garmin it would be much appreciated.

So there you go boys, Hardies is definitely a 40 run.

I can guess there will be a few Weedies being put together before the season really starts.

And if you do don't mess around they need to be 45 deg, mine are only about 50deg (40deg of rake) and I was collecting weed when not flat out. And going thru a patch slowed me down enough that the next one wrapped armfulls of the stuff round the fin.

How deep was the run Elmo?

Bender, it is probably a connection issue. Do you have a 101 or 201?

The inside of the stereo jack corrodes unless you have keep it lubricated since new. I hear the gold plated contacts on the 201 also wear then corrode.

Not sure how to fix that... Garmin a very good with warranties even if it's over time.

Ben, commiserations mate (thank god for spell check) that would of had me crying in my beer. i wouldn't give up though, follow yoyo's advise and also try a couple of other computers.
i would suggest you have a look at getting the navi at some stage as it has a function of recording to card as well as the on board memory. i am sure you are going to have many days of pb's to come at hardies over the next couple of months.

Ta, Snidesy...... Was off the pace on the 2 sec stuff, so thought I would go for an NM, today felt a lot easier than the 30.87, coz the water was flatter, in fact it was almost perfect today, I'm sure you guys would have done PB's as well. At one level Hardie's is/was trecherous and dangerous, with large clumps of weed that you had to zigzag and dodge, but it was also what was keeping it extra flat, and as the tide kept getting lower the water flatter, but the limestone rocks came into play and the weedbanks were getting suicideal and less than knee deep in places. So the things that makes Hardie's so fast, potential make it very dangerous as well, so be bloody careful when you come down here. A minimum of 45 degree rake fin is essential, particularly when it's shallow and very very fast!!!!!

Bloody Well Done Elmo!!!
I know how hard it was to crack 40 even here at Sandy Point to start with, so to do it over there is a real credit to you. Welcome to the club!!!

Thanks Chris

I thought I might have got you there, but reality kicks in with a thud

Got me stuffed how you do it on that Motocross track you call the Swan Ocean, we had the course running smooth down here (better than the last session at LP) and I still couldn't nobble ya

One day we'll drag you kicking and screaming down to the weedy course.

Oh, and I do know how you do what you do and if I could do that my wettie would be full of doodoo

Think of where you have come from Elmo? There are lot of people who have been sailing a lot longer than you and haven't got anywhere near your speeds and despite your german gybe comments, you're not too bad at those either.

What time the BBQ sunday?
