Not enough down haul.

Supercross is a nice blasting board. Not sure how it will go with the ram, how wide is it? They are definitely narrower in comparison to say a modern 110 litre, either way you would want to be well powered to step onto that from your bigger fanatic, and you might not find it enjoyable, but the best way to see is give it a go i suppose. As I mentioned earlier it is the width that will help you get going earlier. You could easily replace your 110 supercross with a 75 wide slalom around the 120-125 litre mark and have a really nice combo with your 8.0 that will work up to 20 kts. Then get on your bump and jump kit or change down to your 7.2 and stay on the slalom board.

Macroscien, you definitely can't go wrong with the X-Fire. They must be one of the most comfortable slalom boards out there.... do they work? Check out the last PWA results.....1st is good!
I've been sailing the 98/105 & 114 over in Cocos, and they honestly feel like freeride boards, with attitude.
I love the 114 with the 7.7, with a 36/38 carbon Vector.
I think that you'll get the same response from all the X-Fire riders. We have a lot over here in WA, as slalom is more favoured than over East but we have sold half a dozen there.
