I'm no slalom or speed sailor but, I'd want perpendicular.... and to be able to roll the foot forward if wind drops a bit heading upwind, this looks easy to get foot in but totally opposite to what u want for actual sailing? or is this just me..?
Mark: just another example, with a greater rear strap angle.
Choco: as I mentioned that was the maiden voyage for the board, and I always start with everything in the middle positions. I will almost certainly use the rearmost inserts, but very likely keep four screws/strap. Plenty reasons to use four instead of two! But yes, of course you can use two and move the straps more inboard or outboard.
