mob dog said.. Light wind fun, awesome! Have you Pulled off a planing step jibe on the big girl yet?
Im working on it . It turns great for a big girl , way better than i thought . Im just getting used to flat water and flipping the sail earlier ,Bad habit of flare jibing for safety in rough water from where i came from.
Its a dirt / sand boat ramp . 4WD I just google earthed it and its under trees and hard to see . Its at the end of Sunderland drive on Solander esplanade. Down about 100m. trust me , its there.
Hey Jayson and Mike, follow Sunderland Drive to where it hits the esplanade at Banksia Beach and there's a park and a boat ramp just to the South of that T intersection.
Another great day at Banksia Beach . ( White Patch ) Five of us today. Got a PB for myself and the big FKD , who says she needs cutouts Im obsessed now trying to make her go faster , i just got to get to 30 . Then ill ride more appropriate boards. Im starting to like this speed stuff.
I was on Falcon 106/ Warp 7. Was perfect for the gusts. Locals were on 8.6 and big boards. It's a westerly so just make sure you have a floaty board, what ever sail you choose will be right at some point... The locals give a great safety briefing. PM Imax, he will surely be around
Tides might be getting a bit late on the weekend for the sandbank to show , unless you like riding when the sharks come out . You could get an hour in . Might be better giving Sandstone Point a go during the day. Or if you like it rough , Bongaree.
Photoes ? I didn't want to implicit the pain. Same kind of beast , 6 cm narrower , 20 cm shorter , lighter build. Its a big boy speed slab. 35 kts , cmon, cmon !
