Am I reading that correctly 5th session and making flying gybes? that must be a record, way to go
I am a big fan of inboard straps, but I think you do loose some top speed
Yep, it's been pretty brutal though, long sessions, short runs and attempt after attempt after attempt!!! Very tempting to just do off foil tack or jibe to save falling in, but I hate not going for it. I've been a dog with a bone trying to get them. I'm the only windfoiler at my spot, lots of wingdingers, kiters, and a handful of windsurfers all looking at me like I must be mad!!! But it's starting to pay off. Forums and videos have been invaluable in learning what to do and not to do - sometimes easier said than done. Lots of board sport history definitely helping my progress - wavesailing, surfing, supping, skateboarding, snowboarding etc. and now windfoiling.
Still a long way to go with the jibes but I know it's possible now and each time I don't make it I can see where I'm going wrong and which aspect I need to be thinking about and working on.
yeah I'm liking inboard as well, I'm not too worried about losing a bit of top end speed either, half the time I have more speed than I want anyway while I'm learning it all
