Nice! Was wondering how the 999 would sail. Looks like a great setup! Hoping to try a wingers 999 here locally and see how it compares to my 930. Heard some smaller ART wings were coming out as well which sound awesome.

I'm also coming from the ss i76, using Ezzy 4.2, 4.7, 5.2 and currently weigh 85kg - hoping to get below 80 soon though. Mostly sailing open ocean swell.

Bigdaz last year after some feedback from Milsurf I also went with the same setup and also run it on wizard 114 with sails 3.4 to 5.0 me about 83kg also always in a wetsuit. I live in a windy place and found I only use the 930 for light wind the 830 is my go to wing and seems to cover most conditions. Both of these wings I have to run right at the back of the tracks,if you go with Axis see if you can buy the V2 windsurf fuse as the mast is 50mm further forward on the fuse so you won't have to jam it all the way back to balance it,they don't seem to be available in the US yet.
Rear wings I have the 370 and 380 speed wing I still like the 370 it seems to calm things down on the high wind days and is not noticeably slower.Both the 930&830 have lots of glide and are plenty fast so I have no reason to try the ART wings for wind foiling

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking of starting with one wing and thinking the 930 would be the go. I sail a fair bit in lighter wind with my 5.2, but I'm hoping it's still manageable with my 4.2 in up to 20-25knts - do u think it will cope???

ill look into the v2 fuse, haven't seen any mention of it before though. But I'm presuming the v1 at the back of track still works fine though???

Also, do u need to use the shim on the 370 stab?

im leaning towards the 96 carbon mast, less bolts, no doodad, simpler set up, lighter. Any thoughts on carbon v the alu mast ?

Just pulled the trigger and ordered my new foil. Went with the Axis 96 carbon mast, windsurf black fuselage, 930 front wing and after lots of deliberation (so many choices) I decided to give the 375 progressive a go for the rear wing. I'll let u know how it goes.

I have just made the jump to Axis. I have the 82 mast, 980HPS front and the 400 rear. I used it for the first time on the weekend and it was amazing. So stable in flight. Super controlled through the foil gybes. Quick pickup and lift onto the foil with a 5.5 in about 8-12knts of wind. I was blown away. Best foil session I have had in 4 years of foiling.

Look what just turned up. So stoked!!! Only ordered it yesterday arvo and the boys at WSS BOARDS in Sydney had it at my door in less than 24hrs.
Really impressed with the fit and finish, nice tidy product and all connection points are rock solid. Can't wait to get it on the water!!!

And the fuselage is the V2, so won't need to run it all the way back in the tracks.

Jealous you guys have access to the V2 fuse I'll have to check again if it's available in the US.Bigdaz would love to hear how that 375 progressive tail feels but first you will have to get used to all that glide that the 930 brings.

What board are you using that setup on?

Epic first session this morning on my new Axis Foil. 96 carbon mast, windsurf black fuselage, 930 front wing, 375 progressive tail, 5.2 Ezzy Wave Sail.
Challenging conditions, gusty wind 12-20knts, open ocean swell and breaking waves on the inside.

First impressions: WOW this thing is quick!!! I know everyone said it was fast but it still took me by surprise. Great glide, but definitely more twitchy than I was expecting - need time to retrain intuitive response to movements and also still trying to find the sweet spot for mast placement in track, started off too far back and had to keep moving it forward and prob needed to be a bit further than where it ended up, which was about 5 at back of base. It definitely felt better further forward. I think the 375 progressive tail will also take some getting use to, much smaller than my previous set up but I can really feel the potential there and it has a very carvy feel about it - I do wonder if maybe I should have started with the 400 progressive, but I'm sure with a bit more TOTW I'll learn how to extract it's potential. Range of the 930 was also great, good low range early lift but also handled being pushed at speed.

All in all I am super happy, had some good crashes dialing it in - especially with it exiting gybes with way more speed than I'm use to, but also made a few silky smooth gybes in between the crashes - and that felt amazing!!!

Really happy with the purchase and now I just want more time on the water with it

I'm on a Naish 122 hover. I aligned the mast directly below the rear strap that I have in the second last holes ( towards the tail).
The one thing that blew me away and surprised me was the exit speed on tacks. The wing balance allowed easy high speed tacks.

Just a series of tail wings that pair up nicely with the HPS and ART front wings at least that what Axis says.

Yep 899 fuse. Progressive as in enhanced turning/carving in a fast tail wing. Head to the Axis website and check out what they have to say about it. Sounded good to me, so thought it was worth putting it in my set up.

Not sure about race v free ride, but yes same length fuse just with wing back, just gives more room in mast track for adjustments as the v1 needed to be right at the back of the tracks.

They don't seem to advertise if it's v1 or v2 on websites, but it is printed on the fuse, get the retailer to check for you. I'd say all new stock is v2 and old stock is probably v1. More than likely available in US - just double check. When I ordered mine in Aus they weren't aware of v1 v v2 when I asked, but once they opened the box to check it it was obvious.

And yes, typo in the build page, check the fuselage page - says 899 for black windsurf fuse and 880 for red windsurf fuse.

What I meant was that, all other things being equal, a race foil places the wing further forward of the mast than does a freeride foil.

I sent a note to Axis requesting them to fix/update their website and build pages to add information about V1 and V2, and to correct the 880 and 899 confusion.

It's super reactive/sensitive but does feel really nice and I'm sure will get lots of use in the future as my skills progress. But in the end I picked up the 425 progressive rear wing as well. Used it for the first time yesterday and absolutely love it. It's amazing how much difference it made, and perfect with the rest of the set up. It is still really reactive and can turn pretty much as hard as you want, but with a much more predictable feel and stability - gybes were so much easier and even gave me the confidence to start try 360's which was really fun. Loving the Axis combo

There's now a 475 progressive tail wing. I have been using the ART999 front wing. Had the 500 anhedral with it which was ok, but got a bit pitchy when I was doing higher speeds. Changed to the 475 and (without even trying) immediately hit 22 knots feeling very comfortable and in control. That was on flat water; I later found it had much better control when riding large ocean swells.
