Have any Wind Foilers used the Naish HA 914 with both the 80cm and new S26 95cm fuses? The 95cm is made for boards with tuttle box connection. I'm interested to know how much the 95cm fuse stiffens up the pitch therefore making the foil less sensitive to pitch change / input at speed. Is the 80cm doable or is it too much to handle? I have an HA 914 on order and currently only have the 80cm windsurf fuse. Might have to buy the new 95cm as well ?

the 95 fuse is out of stock almost everywhere, I managed to source one from Austria, waiting for delivery. I have the 1150 wing and a kite wing I want to try for speed with that fuse. Will post feedback when it happens.
Btw what foil mast do you have? I am interested to know if it is worth upgrading to a C35

I guess everything is rideable, but our minds seem to think more is needed.
I used to windfoil the 600 kitewing, 64 fuze, and KS stab. Not stable, but doable.
Then I added WS fuze....better.
Then I got the 79, 310 stab, moved it up 5cm., and it worked fine.
Then 1150 which is nice.
But not with 210 stab.
Then the old 1220, 79, 310, 90, and very easy.

No specific experience with the Naish, but from my experience with other foils 95cm is a very comfortable length for overall use and going shorter gets quite pitch sensitive for windfoiling.

I do miss the tighter jibes and and windswell turns with the 64 fuze.
And maybe a 95 or 115 for going fast.
But, RRD 115 with 850 front foil was not overly stable nor very fast, for me, at the time.

My current top speed on the HA914, 80cm fuselage and 220 stab is 20 knots when winging. I use the 914 for kitefoil too, same top speed. This is in lumpy conditions so you might get more on flat water.

As far as i know they should be a reasonable amount faster than that windfoiling. I get to 20 knots easy windfoiling the 1150 using HA 280 stab. I'm not really going for speed either. It just happens.

first picture I see of the long fuse, the extra length seems to go all in the front, it would need to push the foil mast all the way back to get some balance:

Think they mention deep tuttle masts specifically as benefiting from the new fuselage

Tuttle box windsurf boards gave box located wat back, so long fuze and forward placed foil balances to work.
Most twin tracks are placed further forward than Tuttle

yes but the idea is to try and use the longer fuse on track mount to be more stable for speed runs on smaller wings...

The 95's for tuttle box as per Naish's website. They recommend an 80cm fuse for us box / tracks / abracadabra.

Sometimes, we mix different parts, and have to think differently.
Stock 1150 and 280, 79 fuze is fine. 95 might be too stable to turn well.
But, 914 or 600, going for speed, might benefit from 95 fuze, especially with small stabs needed for higher speeds.
When seeking higher speeds, we live with longer radius turns.

I tried to extend the fuse, at the rear only is easier, added about 15 cms. Tried it yesterday it felt more spongy and slow to react, but not necessarily more stable, probably would need to build the muscle memory in a few sessions:





And this is the Naish 95 cm fuse, adds 3cm at the back and 13cm at the front, just got it in the mail, will test it in a couple of days and let you know:

Thinking same, but mine will look ugly compared to yours.

So had a few sessions with the long fuse. The problem is to keep the board down if powered up. Plate goes as far back as possible, sail mast foot all the way forward, removed all straps, the front feet go beyond. Alternative is to put a shim on the stabilizer, makes things easier, but had the feeling it was dragging and made some noise.
Strapless was the best balance I could get, definitely gives you confidence in the downwind runs, today did my best speeds foiling.

Too bad Naish designed the 95 for windsurf boards and not for their windfoil boards.
95 would work on old Formula boards and slalom/freerace.

Upon further review, 95 should work with 600 front and 210 stab.
That combo needs to be placed about 3" forward of "other" foils, and footstraps have that much adj on Hover122's.
Another possibility is using a smaller stab, which requires moving foil forward.

How are people's experiences with the new 95cm fuselage going ?

Doubt if more than Powersloshin managed to get the 95 fuze, and also on this forum.
As said, regular Windfoil foils don't need the 95, but smaller foils like the kite 600 with 210 fuze does, because that foil combo needs to be pushed forward 3-4" from normal windsurf position

I got the 95cm fuselage, testing it on my 80cm slalom board with deep tuttle suggests it is a lot more balanced and less back footed. No issues with it being too front footed yet

The 95 places the front wing farther forward than the 70 or the old 64 ws fuzes.
So, it depends which front wing you use.
With low aspect Jet, it should be too forward...aka too much front foot weight needed.
With hi aspects.., 600 up, should be fine.
Tweeners, 1150, is up to rider.
For me, since I slide the 600, 79, 210 about 3" forwards, the 95 fuze should be fine fully back on the track.
Unrevealed with Jet or original front foil.

Tim, for you it is balanced because that fuse is made for tuttle boxes. Check that the front wing is about between the straps and it should feel good, probably with the shorter fuse the front wing was too far back.

So after several sessions strapless I was confident where to put the extra inserts, they go so that the tip of my toes is almost level with the end of the rubber pad. I added them in between the outboard and inboard rows.




Tested today in very light wind with the 1400AH wing, foil mast all the way back, sail mast foot 2 thirds forward: the set up was balanced.





Compared to strapless it is easier to get going quickly without moving the front foot around. Once locked the front, it is easier to move the back foot and pull on the harness, much better when going upwind.
Changing wings and sails should be possible to balance the rig just by adjusting the sail mast foot.

Glad 95 is working for you. Or, you're making it work.

Seems I only need 4" forward of 64 windsurf fuze, not more, for my 600/210 combo.
The 79 fuze moves front wing about 1.5 cm back from the 64 wind fuze.

And finally I got a 914 wing and stab, they look very sleek, will test with both long and short fuselages and report back.

914 HA wing is soooo nice.
Works better with 95 fuse, rather than the 80.
