Some words regarding the points of construction / engenieering of the SS. Also regarding the high critism of duzz.
I'm a really hobby foiler since around 5 month on a little lake on germany, so we have really very very variable conditions.
One day between 8 -20 knots other days with 20 -35 knots, also days with only 6 - 10 knots.
I'm driving the i76 on a Wizard 125 with 90KG weigth. Sailrange now 4 -6,9.
I just saw friends of me on other wings like the h9 or the NP.
Much more comparsion I don't have also not the budget to buy 10 wings to test. :-)
I saw also the mounting system from moses and I can agree. Regarding the mounting there is improvment potential at SS with the engenieering view:
1) Mount ON the Fuse is not as good as IN the fuse.
2) Mount of the DTB Adapter tends with the time to get a minimal loose.
But until now whether me nor some of my known SS foilers had a real issue with this.
I check the screws of DTB all 3-5 session. The Mast I mount on the fuse every session by new as I have to less space in the car for the whole mounted foil.
But regarding the progress of skilling level for me and all my friends using the SS I76 I see at all a big jump of more stability and very quick learning of gybes. Things the same people tried to learn over a year on other foils with quite only little progress. The same at foiling in strong winds up to 30 knots. So the fun and foiling experience is really great and this is one very important point for me as enduser.
The Systems of SS WORKS very good!
Also the resistnace of the Wings itself is good.
We are on a lake where is the danger to touch the ground at some places.
Friend of me with a moses told me that the moses is much more sensible. I have not seen it by myself. So only collected this statement.
But I just touched the ground with the I76 foil bit harder...result with the I76 where some scratches that where easy to fix again with 2k Epoxy and abrasive paper.
With waranty i.e. of boards two of my friends have very good experience. In both cases with issues in the fin box holes the boards (3 month use / 1 year use and old generation) where replaced by a completely new one. I don't know how this is handeled in other cases. These are the two cases I got reported.
Independently about which topic or company or product, I really hate comments like:
"everything worse" like stated by duzz as this won't help anybody.
When something is not as good as needed I prefer to compare the same points on concrete facts between all the companies where named as they do better. Comments like that create the assumtion that some people are jealious on the success of some companies / products and it won't be a surprise for me if duzz is employee, sponsored or something like that from another company. Sorry, but comments like that create this idea.
Out of my point of view I see also improvement potential regarding the mounting system in the fuse and DTB adapter at SS.
On the other hand until now I don't know anyone who had problems with that and I see endless fun at my side an big level progress of all are using the the i76.
And yes there are also a lot of other good foils on the market. Everybody is free to test a bunch of them. But it will be like at Windsurfboards and Sails etc. everything will have advantages, disadvantages and personal preferences and reuquirements. Out of my point of view a fact based comparsion or statement will help more.
So have fun at foiling and John Jonson:
Your videos are really really great !!!
They show the freedom of foiling....and how easy to controll the I76 is to ride in several conditions.
Please continue with your videos !! I personaly love them.
Greetings from Germany / Bavaria !
