Yep Hotham is the bomb, but harder ($$$) to get to for a weekend from WA..

They used to let us use our Frequent Flyers to fly up there. We could get Perth, Melb, Hotham and home again all on 28000 points once. Before they changed the multiple stops rule

Have you checked out flights to Dinner plain?, I do see your point but not really worth going to Buller at the moment, just got back from 3 days Hotham
free skiing with school (had to rub it in)
