I have never been a contest guy, but I am a Mick Fanning fan. Tommorow looks like the day and there is swell forecast. Anyway this link is handy as it has the morning call. Honolulu is -21 hours from east coast nsw. Or it will be 7am saturday morning there at about 4am sunday morning east coast time.

Missus just popped out and said its divorce unless I come back to bed and do my husbandly duties. Anyone know a good lawyer, this is way too exciting . Go Mick

The first one he was probably on the foam ball a bit longer and it looked a bit heavier but the wave closed out on the inside
The 2nd one was perfect from start to finish
And that section when it hit the sandbar made him even deeper
I've been doing the fast forward/rewind thing comparing
I heard some people whining about the scores

Every comp there is a heat where its close, but that last wave of Micks wasnt scored until after the heat was finished so they must have replayed it against Yadins waves as well.

Yadin surfed very well, anybody else he would have smashed it.

Kelly is an amazing surfer and deserved to win pipe however during an interview straight after Micks heat he made a comment that showed his hurt or was it bad sportsmanship,he said something like this.Was that a heat winning wave nah I don't think so,he also said if he won Pipe he was going to steal Micks world title trophy and take it home and he was serious.

Can you imagine surfing those waves then coming in and talking any sense. I think I would be an adrenaline, brain melt mess. I get all froth shaky after a head high beachy barrell

I thought Micks wave was overscored until I saw it from the beach angle...wowsers he was deep...Kelly would know about being overscored it happened to him enough times
