yeah is weird aye - must be all of those secret spots or maybe its because I read a weather map instead of being told by all those surf forecast type webcasts etc who mail out stuff advising the world of the swell that is coming - or maybe its sea breezes own prediction tool that is going to cause all the drama......actually I do not really care to be honest Mac - the world has moved on - years ago if someone broadcast the swell that was coming you would want to bash them - but in this day and age everyone and I mean everyone is made well aware of them long before they arrive..people on this forum were calling the days the pipeline pro would be on a week out and fairly accurately....gone are the days of sneaking in a 3 to 4ft bit of uncrowded perfection because you were a better judge of the weather than someone else. These days its all changed. But rest assured just knowing that there will be swell does still not guarantee you will get good waves or pick of them. Lots of little factors that play a big part in making sure you choose the right spot on the right day...........next week will deliver some great waves to some and frustrations to others....the trick is to be able free your schedule that will enable you to get to the beach and secondly make the right call on where you go.........I can not wait.

Ok Ted, I got through that 1/2 essay mate but don't over do it. You know my attention span is not great. I can't keep requesting Simondo to summarise all the time.
I still recall that pm you sent me when I revealed that point down the coast with lots of sand on it.
What's another car load going to matter ?

pfffff. yeah chrispy was right, but it wasn't rocket science- what were you thinking mac honestly i've had a gut full of guys talking up big surf because

1 a fair amount of those that talk the most, well you never see them out there when the big stuff is around. i know some classics around the place- oh have you seen the charts. the surfs going to be massive. i can't wait, just before disappearing like a donkey in the fog. teatrea is a definite exception- mans nutty

2 nines time out of ten big means big messy crap.

3 if it does clean up its a crowd nightmare because of limited options

give me regular 2 to 3 ft any day

disc1 this rant is directed at no one in particular except a those that talk the talk but don't walk

disc2. not directed at you mac. you and i come from a long line of cowards

when you are as old as we are and copped as many floggings, close calls as we have- well- chicken tonight

Very true on the surf front Lacey massive = junk,I like the 2 too 3 stuff good old fun without any dramas.I very close call a few years ago scared the **** out of me,Coolie beach front shortbord days I was held down for far too long blowing bubbles, this was it until I popped up,scared the crap out of me.

I was going to drive down to see Jacko but going to the gym was a cheaper option this morning, anyhow I'm off to work no so enjoy Aus day gents.
