you just know he will improve just by how excited he gets in the water. like a bloody kid with smile on his dial all the time.

I was too busy being greedy at Byron to notice and I was smiling the entire surf that day

But did watch him at LM on the UFO for a while

Kadilac I reckon your old fish would be perfect for your kid . Mine had a mad dog softy and a little swallow tail and hated it . Got them bigger boards with more volume all of a sudden started catching waves and loving it .

Nah, way too big for her. 50 kg lighter, no way she could turn it. She's bored of surfing straight.

Well today I picked up my UFO, so the grin is from ear to ear. Went to an open beach and had a paddle in poor conditions. Sir Mac, I salute and thank you for this fine instrument you have handed over.

In the few rides that I had (all straight), it paddled nicely and is easy to get up on. Had some young surfers admiring the board in the carpark as I was packing up, telling me how good it was compared to their boards (which were actually very good boards).

Hang onto it mate take both boards with you when you go that way you have your bases covered no matter what

you just need a SUP to complete your quiver

Mate the only reason I know this is because at some stage I have regretted selling pretty much every board I have sold

@sp.... if only funds would allow

@boofy......I would love to have a warehouse for all the toys I desire, but I hardly have the time to ride one surfboard.

Now all I have to do is lose 12kg, get fit and save up $800

If I can do that, I deserve another board.

Keep the 8 footer and try it as a 5 fin (with the back fin being a small knubster fin) it works really well for me, without sacrificing the speed of a quad!
