Its all about looking and sèeing the tell tale signs.

Example. When mac says he's contented. Theres another board coming

If he publicly states the boards a kèeper it will be gone next month

And so on.

something for ted. All the boards I have now are keepers]

something more for ted

I class keeper as one year old boards.

to surf a shortboard longer then that would be rather boring.

I also believe short boards lose their zip over time

^^ nah you just lose your zip for that board over time, theres nothing like a new board to get the amp meter up,turns you into a frothing grom again and energy levels go through the roof when you paddle out for the first time on a new stick.Im about to order a new board for when Im back in the water again and got a trip to Nth Sumatra on the burner.

nah, the glass gets older and doesn't flex like it did or gets a bit soft or delams a bit here and there or has taken some water or all these things

just like a soggy football.

yeah can understand a board thats delamd or getting water in it affecting it,but I sure as hell wouldn't feel a board losing flex over time,I've got boards that are 5 years old that surf just the same as the day I bought them but I also know what a new board can do for your surfing just through the stoke of a new board

surfed the mr flying fish. waves that were a bit straight and slightly wind affect.

good pumping speed, cutbacks and some nice flowing floaters.

board goes super good for me.
like I said before- like an old glove

whats does that mean- is it going in the next two weeks or a year.

get the form guides out ted

I agree as does a local shaper. Except he refers to your "zip" as twang. I like the term twang as it as bit of onomatopoeia about it when referencing a decline in flex.
