Yep came with the Kombi Pup . Backs been done it in some form of pine will get some better pics for you . The old bloke I got it off reckons he spent 50 grand on the complete rebuild

Hate to think what your bus would have cost , but it's all money well spent and I reckon you won't lose money on it .

The shack idea sounds good to me

Everything costs so much these days - I saved a heap of coin doing it myself from top to bottom but there were items that I had no choice but to purchase

Nowehere near 50G - not even remotely near that much - that Dombi will stay good $$$ seeing as they are getting rarer mate
Yep take the lass to the honeypot & take her mind off things

I caught five of those MTT buses a day to get to school and back. Amazing detail, just like I remember
Are those the ones with the pillar for the gear stick and vapour (steam) comes out when you change gears

Thanks mate & Yes - exactly the same you get some air rush (vent) between every gear change mate .... they run on air pressure of at least 65 bar but you need about 80bar to release the brakes which operate on the air as well (you would also have heard the air rush with the brakes if you can remember!)
The detail is the restorers handbook - if ya going to do something do it sweet , accurate & to the letter

Had 3 big pissups already - sold out and dudes on the roadside screaming to be let in on EVERY trip .... also did an AC-DC concert at Subiaco Oval over here for a Footy club and I had coppers pull over , stop me then congratulate me on the bus - then escorted me to a vacant bus rank near Kitchener Park .... the older copper nearly had tears in his eyes he reckoned it brought back memories of when he first met his wife - hows that eh!!!!!

When I saw the photo yesterday it reminded me of our family car in the late 70's - a Holden Kingwood. Is that what a HK is ? (sorry cars not my strength of knowledge)

This photo is the mordy surf shop bus that toured the Victorian Coasts, early 70's giving an opportunity for lots of young surfers to get down the coast, the flipside was that you could be out surfing with your mates and see this bus turn up, within a couple of minutes the break was crowded with a bus load of froth'n groms. they must have had already changed into wetsuits on the way down the coast, the boards were down from the roof and that was it, you would come in from the surf defeated by the instant crowd
