1641- Best size motor of street use in my opinion! Good luck with it
I'm running a stock 1600DP with a sidewinder exhaust- goes well.
You can have this one for $35k

Make dead sure you're happy to spend a good proportion of your life under it rather than in it if you're considering buying an old VW.

And get used to purchasing parts that only have the words "made in China" or "made in Brazil" stamped on them.

And just because those parts say Empi or CB and come from sepo land, don't think they're any different, they're still the same cheap and nasty crap. Because no one makes quality parts on a mass produced basis for them any more, if you want quality, you will pay, oh brother will you pay.

It took me 44 years to finally get over Volly Wobbles and this was the thing that did it, granted I had a lot of fun, and one of those pics even graced the pages of a glossy VW mag, along with my stories.

But my family hardly ever saw me, because I played so hard in it, I spent all my time fixing and modifying it to make it stronger.
