Did you get it from Arkgee, I just hunted high and low for a good fin and didn't even think of Mr Goddard. I ended up getting a couple of captain fin co fins from the states .. seen a few around and they look good but $120 plus over here.

http://shop.captainfin.com/collections/fins

Got a 10" Jai lee Hatchet / keel and a 6.5 dolphin.

Yep SP Mr Goddard organized he fins for me through his mate JD . They are a real work of art make the old board look a million bucks . Cost $126 delivered which I thought was pretty reasonable for what it is .

Like you I searched high and low through all the fin suppliers trying to find a 7 inch timber fin . Happy in what I ended up with and in being able to buy through an Australian small business makes it even better .

I have already told Arkgee in my opinion he is providing superior quality product at cheaper prices then his competitors . Will be getting one of his boards latter in the year as well . Almost changed my mind the old board looks so good with the new fin .

Not bull****ting I was seriously surprised at how good his stuff is for the price .

I am also hoping to. I have now seen several of his pieces in real life and they are nothing short of spectacular.

Hope you have it by the time you come to Tassie Ted would love to see it .

The only problem I can see with this fin is I will be too scared to surf off the rocks in case I scratch it .

^ if it's not it's very close, that is a piece of art.. Good stuff Tassie have you given it a run yet?

Does it have fin screws at both ends?

I just got these 2, waiting for delivery though..

This one is for the Model T and is 9.5", hoping it's not to small. But I saw it at a shop and looked like it had enough area.

This one is. A 7.5 volan. For my single fin egg and probably for suckier or bigger days than my current 6" likes

HaVe not had a chance to try it yet SP . It has fin screws both ends but I only have one fin screw so awaiting arrival of some more , hopefully here today as according to the forecast today is the last surf till mid next week .
Any tips on the best place to sit the fin in the box . I have always put them close as I can to the middle . Wondering what difference it would make if I push it back or forwards .

Love the look of those fins of yours I did go through the captain fins catalogue .When I get this new board organized I will have to get some different sized fins to play with .

The middle is a good spot to start, I usually go about 12" from the tail to start with on a 2+1 or half way between the tail and the centre of your side fins..

Ok so moving forward, you will lose drive but the board will become looser
Moving it back more drive but harder to turn.
How will you know? Start with middle, then go to extremes, so try the middle, then push it forward a few inches and then push it right back, it will give you an idea of how it feels with the fin in the wrong place, you'll only need to catch one or 2 waves with it there but it will give you a rough idea to start from.

Then work around the centre to find where you want it, will probably be within an inch or so either way. I'd guess back an inch cause your sides look pretty small. But it is whatever feels good to you.

I have adjustable fin screws to, they Help cause you can move your fin during the same surf without coming in.
