That's true...don't think I would handle indonesia crowds. Quite like that place Aurora in the Philippines where almost all the surfers in the country hang out though. I could handle 6 months there quite nicely

Did spend some time this morning looking at currency conversion rates....about $US7 to stay at the fancy hotels....but the road access into the area sounds alarming.....steep hills...big drop offs...speeding trucks....eek!! but not far from Manilla

Am worried about my dog...she is 11 years old....with a life expectancy of 14 or 15 years old......but you are right....the dog is really the prime factor

So TB - how did you go in the comp? Any pics? Did Pipefins make it out of a heat?

Actually i had a few beers too many & my posting was a little early (much too early)...registration night is friday march9 at Cantina Caliente Mexican Bar stock route March 9..."there will be trophies & prizes awarded to finalists in all divisions"
I believe with all my heart that towball will be a finalist...he has been training hard
I think I might be able to persuade my friend Dawn to come & take photos of all & sundry on the day itself

Have never seen pipe fins on a longboard he's too much of a legend to enter a comp . It was noted this morning at the Makaraka Mafia weekly meeting which gizzie didnot attend that Pipe fins house is for sale ,does this mean he's leaving town ? Not so lucky I expect

Some nice ones at the point this morning.....wind was quite gentle out there first thing. Thought I would see you & mark out there & duncan said "where's gavin?".....had to call in at mark's place afterwards for his apple drop off

Didn't like the thought of chasing boards down the beach , should have looked I suppose

Only two sleeps to go !!!
Not looking good on the weather front though...a good size swell & southerly onshore winds....but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.
Think I would fake a flat battery & stay home myself...but maybe they will put it off to the next weekend ???
