^^^^ It would be interesting to see what weight she is ..... sweet looking! and if after everything else fails - what a superb piece d' resistance for your lounge feature wall!
Please don't take that last bit offensively SH! .... fine effort first up mate.
Its currently hanging on the wall of my patio....
Havent weighed the 12'6" but its less than my 10" sup which is 11kgs. Paulownias a great wood, dosent suck up water like balsa, dosent de-gas like cedar, easy to work with and cheapish to buy. Fast frowing plantation timber and very versitile I have also used Paulownia as a 2-3mm laminate over a vac bagged epoxy and as a core material for kite boards. One shaper over here uses it as a venneer (less than 1mm) laminate in his epoxy boards, plenty of kiteboard builders are using it as there cores
I also built this 6'6" fish that came in at 6kgs, the other fish is 2-3mm skins over eps core thats pretty light.
The weight disappears on the water, well sort off. Simo your numbers are pretty spot on (I am a numbers man too)
