From experience, anybody from Cronulla says they are from Cronulla and the rest say they live in "the Shire".
A convo may go like this "so where you from?".
Reply is "the Shire".
"Oh, where in the shire ?"
"Um,ar, Illawong".

Look on google maps to see how far Illawong is from Cronulla.
I met a family last Xmas on hols and they said they're from the 'northern beaches'. I said "Which beach ?". They said Frenchs Forest.
