agreed...plus I gotta bad feeling its going to screw our perfect banks

The forecast has changed a bit (as it so often does). Now they are saying swell will kick a fair bit Friday and max out on Saturday at 8 ft plus with onshore winds all day. Hope it makes your bad banks good and your good banks even better. Then again, they could be wrong. It has happened.

That was the first thing that entered my mind when I seen the charts...... There's no less than 12 very nice little banks along my stretch right now... would be a shame to lose them to an unsurfable mush festival.

Looks on the surfcam like there are a few quite nice sliders at the Sunny Coast's not-so-secret spot, at least.
(The fooking rain doesn't seem to have scared anyone off.)

Every tradie from Deception Bay to Gympie downed tools and drove straight there.

Rest day today, back is killing me. The crowds have been shocking here...there was four surfers on the point yesterday. I can't take another week of this

Well thought I'd go for a surf, it's pumping here, some big sets going through, caught three waves,on my third wave in I caught the reef in the shore break.
right on the head.mates watching on beach said they thought I was dead. One bloke in the car park asked,, if I broke my board.

I thought, it wasn't that bad just a red mark on top of the GOOG.

driving home lost part vision in the right eye.
the boss checked me out and said no grog and no surf till tomorrow
all good now,,just a splitting headache. Hope this post makes sense.

Edit: Just saw this in the news: The wild conditions dislodged shark control nets on the Sunshine Coast on Friday.One net washed ashore at Marcoola Beach and another disconnected at one end near Mooloolaba, where an 11m wave was recorded in the morning.
